1  Boy oh boy, a Boy beanie for the boy! in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by lisiepeasie on: February 09, 2007 12:16:19 AM
My first boy beanie cap from the book! Made by using 'boy' colours, or rather, not the colours I would have preferred to use, like pink and purple. Heh!

I'm not sure why my boyfriend is squinting and looking so upset, though. I can only hope it's because he isn't wearing his glasses. Smiley

4  Sushi pillowcases that have been found! in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by lisiepeasie on: November 12, 2006 07:41:21 AM
I embroidered two pillowcases for my boyfriend after I received the fantastic SS sushi patterns from fellow craftster alwaysinmyroom. (Thanks linda!)

But I sent out my parcel to America five weeks ago and my boyfriend hasn't received these pillowcases yet! In my swap experience, parcels to the US of A usually take a week or two weeks max, to get to the receiptant..

I'm guessing that it's been lost en route, or some postal worker saw my declaration form and decided that he/she was in need of some new pillowcases...

I'm just assuming that we'll never see these pillowcases again. But on to the photos! Smiley

Edited on 4th of Dec to include:

My boyfriend received it! It finally reached its destination after like what, 7 or 8 weeks?

But thank you for all your lovely thoughts! I'm certain all the positive craftsters energy was what got the postal service off its ass and actually start working for a change. Smiley

Mmmmm, crabstick sushi!

Buckwheat soba noodles! Gotta love them when its eaten cold and with a raw quail egg!

The Chinese word is 'Yang', or goat. A nickname on my boyfriend's chinese name..

Who doesn't love sushi!?

Fishy fishy fishy..

Okay, thanks for looking guys!

Owl plushie and bag handles! Too cute!

Trim and notions! Check out the cute buttons! And a bracelet!

FABRIC GALORE! Whoo.

Thank you peachtreebend! You're an awesome over-the-top swapper! I'm too spoiled!! Smiley

I received a fantastic present from our organizer, alwaysinmyroom! She really went  all out in this parcel!!

I initially requested for Sublime Stitching patterns, but she included A LOT of other things that totally made my day!

On top of the SS patterns, she also included an embroidery hoop, 25 DMC threads, a shirt to sew the patterns on..She also included those little things you look your thread around..On top of that, Linda also included a pencil, an emery board, some trim, a really nice packet of tissue paper, a postcard AND a birthday card..

The whole shebang!!

My SS patterns and thread! I love all the themes, but Craftopia is my favourite!! Cheesy I am aching to get my swaps out of the way so that I can start crafting with these!

Tee shirt, hoop, trim, pencil and those little things you loop thread/trim around!!

Thank you alwaysinmyroom!! Your package is AWESOME!! Cheesy

Awesome!

I've been having a blast with Kermit the Frog, who was sent all the way from St Louis! Smiley Kermit has been really good company, and he hasn't complained about our weather at all.

Kermit visits a Hindu temple..

10  Re: June Birthday 2006 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by lisiepeasie on: July 19, 2006 11:20:27 AM
Cassia got my gift (a surprise) and she likes it! Smiley *sigh of relief*

I sent her several items like candy, two quilting magazines, and a handmade lined zippered pouch!

It was only when I drove up to the post office that I realized I didn't have a photo of my pouch!! Luckily my boyfriend had his digital camera with him. So I was able to get a photohgraph taken in the dimly-lit underground parking lot in an impromtu "back of the car" shoot.. Heh.

Please feel free to post your other photos, Cassia! Smiley I hope you had a great birthday!
