Confirmation cake for the confirmants at our church last Sunday- HUGE CAKE! served 125-130 people!

My friend's son has a girlfriend who loves monkeys so she asked me to make her a monkey cake for her birthday. Vanilla with banana cream!

Same friend, her neice's birthday is this weekend and she wanted a Perry the Platapus cake, first question to her was, who or what is Perry the Platapus! lol After some research I found a t-shirt that looked like this which I loved! So, this is what she got!

I got a request from one of my husband's friends.
Can you make a cake for Karen for her and Kelly's bday?
Sure I said, then started with the questions. The only thing I was told was it had to be chocolate then the rest was up to me.
This is what they got!

7  At my son's request... in Dessert by Cealy on: March 20, 2011 05:05:32 AM
He asked for a dinosaur cake for his 20th birthday-here is the picture he sent to me, asking if I can make one like it.

It was wayyy too much for 9 of us so I simplified it with two layers instead of the three and no sheet cake under the dino. This is what I made him...
Here is a picture of the birthday boy and a front picture of the dino

9  Building block cake for cousin's grandson's 1st birthday in Dessert by Cealy on: February 20, 2011 11:21:56 AM
My cousin asked me to make a cake for her grandson's first birthday, she wanted building blocks but gave me creative freedom so here it is!
The T is a chocolate cake with vanila almond cream icing, then the other cakes are cherry chip, confetti, and plain vanila cake-the fifth cake is a combo of the others (the left over pieces! lol).
The animals are to represent the letters, not many animals start with N-don't realize it until you have to make one! lol
All edible, the animals are made of fondant!

10  Jack Skellington- Sally is on her way! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by Cealy on: December 30, 2010 04:34:19 AM
I made this for my friend's daughter for Christmas. It was my first try at polymer clay and after finishing him I wish I had the time for a do-over! lol

Once I had him together and baked he didn't balance on his own so he could stand, now when I make Sally she not only has to stand balanced on her own but she has to put enough weight on Jack's left hand to keep him upright! Grrr!

My friend's daughter loves him, and can't wait for me to finish Sally to go along with him. Little does she know she is getting the complete set! By the time I get to the dog I will be a pro! lmao
I spent the afternoon while watching all the college ball games putting 'skin' on Sally's armature. I haven't finished it yet, the clay got warm so I had to give her a break for a while, just thought I would update you.

C&C's welcome!
