1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Circle skirt- What do you think? on: June 25, 2011 05:12:15 PM
I'm converting a wrap skirt pattern into a circle skirt with an elastic waistband and I'm wondering if I should make a waistband for the casing or can I just fold over the top to make the casing?  I've already cut the skirt and sewed the side seam when I realized the measurements used for a wrap skirt have a wider waistband than normal (for overlap).  But since I'm using elastic, it should still work, with maybe a little more fabric gathered than usual, right?

Any thoughts would be great!
