1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / green scarf for the irish boy on: February 03, 2005 11:42:01 AM
i just completed this scarf for my ... andy. he is a good boy. i hope he likes the colour green. what DO dudes like anyway? any ideas? if there ARE any boys looking at this, please tell me yo honest opinion. do you like it?

it is simply one part wool  to one part felt with felt stars sewn onto it ala sewing machine ...and i think that double needle detail you cant really see takes the cake

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / my cooky shirt ... it is cool if it is unfinished on: February 03, 2005 11:16:56 AM
"i never thought anyone would ever buy that fabric!"

that is what the lady at fabric land told me about the brown houndstooth print. what shallow creativity. welll anyway here it is, i used a patter, but changed it alot cuz it was so pass ...

i didnt really finish the neckline, but honestly, i dont mind.

take a look, read a book, learn to cook, get a nook ....

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / wrist cuffs are all the rage ... on: January 18, 2005 10:17:03 PM

i made these from all sorts of ribbon, felt, and scraps and those fastening clips you hammer in, and buttons and and and ... i think they are quite nice and when i wear them i get so many compliments  Cool
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / no more boring walls on: January 18, 2005 09:48:24 PM
i made this frame from cardboard (i reinforced the corners with carpenters glue) covered in fabric from old bed sheets and felt flowers and buttons ...
chain stitch is the stich to use in my opionion
on the back i twisted enough floss to go around the whole frame and i pinned the twisted stuff to each corner so that the frame is hangable from any direction

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / maybe its a good things to lose yo wallet ... on: January 18, 2005 09:43:05 PM
my wallet was either stolen or i lost it somewhere on the train ride from amsterdam to budapest ...i couldnt find any that were suitable to my taste, so i made this one. its all lined and covered in flowers ... the cooky fabrics i got from the budapest ikea.
i hope you all like.

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / my grande accepted portfolio on: January 18, 2005 09:21:42 PM
(im not sure this is the right sub-cat, but....)

my portfolio, although full of art inside, was greatly lacking on the outside ... so i made this very simple cover for it that like a giant folding over pocket for all my loose sheets of art ...
vintage buttons, felt and some embroidery made my acceptance into crafts and desing at sheridan a piece of very delicious cake!

i seriously encourage anyone who is applying into the field (or not) to let their creativity rule, and not the man.

that is my name at the bottom in yellow

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / field o' flowers on my skirt on: January 18, 2005 09:02:36 PM
hello craftster 'hood ...
i had these shoddy jeans right and i though miniskirts are so hot right now (no, i dont really know that as a fact) and i yelled abra cadabra ala peanut butter sandwhiches and poof ... there was a plain jane skirt which was just begging for me to bring it to life and this is what i came up with ...

cut out some pretty felt (wool is de rigeur) flowers and doodle your heart out with a permenent fabric marker... i used a sewing machine, but a blanket stitch by hand would do

i wear this and people like it, they think i am all crafty, and how can i not be if i am a craftster.org member?
