What a great idea....do you have a pic of how you did the zip and strap sections please? Just wondering...might have to make something similar to use up my 'offcuts'..I refuse to call them scraps...as you pay just as much per metre for them as you do the bigger pieces!
I have a small piece of the blue rose one....have been hoarding it for quite a while as it's the last of my piece!
You did a fantastic job on Evelyn....that's the beauty of Chris's patterns...they are so well written that even beginners can make them, so long as you follow each of the steps in order, do that and your bag will turn out looking just like the pictured one.
I've made her Olivia bag (and it's the one I'm currently using) and someone asked me where I got it from....they were gobsmacked when i told them I made it myself....they wouldn't believe me....bet you'll get the same response!
I've been trying to talk Chris into doing some accessory patterns....think how cool it would be to have a matching purse/wallet and cell phone holder to match your Evelyn!
Just a thought....if you want to make the buttercup bag bigger....just enlarge the pattern yourself....there's another post on the forum about alterations to the Buttercup bag by Queenofdiy, including a zippered version (I think!)
You did a great job on both.....look out, the bag making bug seems to have another victim!
