1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: $10 or less swap gallery on: March 21, 2005 08:17:32 PM
Here is what beadgirl sent me - sorry it took so long, I got the flu and ended up sooooooo far behind on everything, I'm still trying to unbury myself.  I've learned my lesson swaps for a while, too- just as soon as I sign up for a swap some bizarre thing happens in my life that takes all my time.  That said, I got 2 incredibly cute things from beadgirl, an old school strawberry shortcake purse and a pen covered in beadwork.  I love them both, and they'll probably both be used to death.

(Three cheers for me- I'm always so nervous about posting pics, but I think I made it work....)
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Using Manic Panic dye by Zombie Teeth! Tutorial. on: March 03, 2005 07:06:58 PM
One more helpful hint: if you have light blonde hair and choose not to bleach it before you dye it then it's helpful to wash your hair well but not condition it before you dye it.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: SKIRTS! *please* critique! on: February 28, 2005 05:22:31 PM
I made almost the exact same one as the black w/ pink dots, without ever seeing your post first.  I laughed so hard when I saw it, for real, they're almost exactly the same.  So, I guess, you have excellent taste ;-).
4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Very cool soda can on: February 26, 2005 05:58:19 PM
When I was in junior high we made lamps out of pop cans.  We got a basic lamp kit, drilled a hole at the side of the bottom, put the lamp kit/cord in place, filled it with plaster or something like that, and let it all set up.  The one I made was with a Crystal Pepsi can, so it's like a lamp and a time capsule in one.  Just an idea....
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: sanity in a 8" by 11" envelope swap! on: February 26, 2005 05:54:20 PM
I think it's a good idea.  It would be so much fun to get a bunch of stuff like that in the mail.  I'd say go for it...
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: degrassi junior high on: February 24, 2005 11:15:23 PM
I'm so glad I'm not the only 24 year old staying up late at night crafting and watching Degrassi!  Who knew there were so many of us.  Did you notice how no one posted saying "I'm 14 and the situations depicted on Degrassi really help me figure out how to handle my own situations"?  I definitely think some stenciled t-shirts would be in order, I may even make one....
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Felt Cakes! on: February 24, 2005 11:05:16 PM
Those are so cute!  You should use them to hold love notes or candy or something.  Or maybe to exchange secret notes with spies, that would be even cooler.  Or just put them in the kitchen as decoration because they're cute.
8  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: $10 or less swap (SIGNUP CLOSED; MAIL BY 03/01/05) on: February 23, 2005 06:51:41 PM
Never mind about the donations, I can't get my Paypal to accept them. I'll just buy the gift certificate.

I know it's old fashioned and everything, but we could just put a dollar in an envelope and send it to you.  I feel bad making you buy a prize.  What do you guys think?
