Hey all, Ok... so I hand sewed this lil' guy and then did a bit of applique and embroidery to make it less boring. Anyway I made it for my mommy, so I hope she doesn't see this post... because she doesn't have it yet. But anyway. I think it turned out alright! I like it anyhow. Cheesy

14  Re: Dotee Doll ROUND TWO Gallery in The Swap Gallery by drinkdrankdrunk on: September 02, 2008 08:43:14 PM
Oh my goodness, I've been a bit of a slacker with posting the last few pictures- and I'm super sorry! This weekend I had some back problems, so I pretty much sat around with a hot pad not really doing anything. But away from that and onto the WONDERFUL Dotees.

FIRST: The fantastic little pillow dotee and angel friend from Jeane:

SECOND: My (2)... count-um TWO dotees from crafty_dame, a wonderful fuzzy friend (my boyfriend's favorite- he named him Alfonzo) and a neat paper made friend:

AND THEN... ALL OF UM!!!

Thank you so much to my group, this is a fantastic swap and I love all my little dotees!

Hey all! I got my last two cards today!

First from irish_chicky- a lovely card with leaves, a lobster, life and lines!!!

Then a wonderful sewn card from crafty_dame- K is for Key, it's made with very pretty gold thread:

Now my J,K,L kicking it old school:

Thanks so much to my partners, I love them all and they're a great kick start to my ATC collection! I just hope my cards get to my partners ok, I'm getting a bit scared that the mail man stole them...  Embarrassed

Hey all! I got two fantastical dolls today!

the first is from carrieme- an amazing piggy with some rad shades and fun piggy fabric! Also as a extra I got some batik fabric care of mommy carrieme! I love it, it's so interesting.

The second is from digital misfit- an amazing girly cupcake butterfly... can you put more girly things into one dotee? Unless you're miss misfit, I don't think so. There's glitter and bling and little pink circle things, it's fabulous!

They are seven kinds of great and make awesome additions to my new dotee hoard!
THANKS!

20  My boyfriend made a table, I painted it! *pic heavy* in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by drinkdrankdrunk on: August 10, 2008 05:42:11 PM
As the subject says, my boyfriend made me a table! I needed a desk, so he made me one- we're just too darn cute! Anyway- he got all the wood from Home Depot, did all the cutting and what not in a wood shop on his base (Go Navy) and then left the finished project for me.

Table with out paint job:

I just used about three coats of a wood primer, and then freehand outlined shapes and whatnot for decorative painting. After that I started my MANY coats of acrylic paint... a big pain in the but.

After the main painting and decorative finishes I just used a spray paint sealer and there we are! A new colorful table for my living room- neat space for crafting and studies!

thanks for looking- comments and criticisms welcome!
... sorry for all the pictures, I'm really excited about the way things came out!
