11  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Project For Adopt an Angel on: December 03, 2007 07:06:21 PM
I don't have any money and my 1st hour class is adopting an angel for christmas. basically they tell you the gender, age, and what the child would want for christmas. We have a 7 year old girl and an 8 year old boy that both want bikes. However, I don't have any  money to contribute to the bike fund, but I would like to make them something. I just can't think of something to make for a 7 y/o girl or 8 y/o boy. Any suggestions?
12  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Color Bar Blanket on: November 25, 2007 10:36:53 PM
I'm thinking about starting the color bar blanket after I'm finished making all of my christmas presents. I haven't really seen many posts about anyone trying the blanket. I'm just wondering if it's easy and how long it takes. I've never done anything large scale before so it'll be my first large project.

15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / pirate purse! on: January 21, 2006 09:48:30 PM
Okay.. It's only a "pirate purse" because of the stripes. But that's what I thought of when I saw them. This is the first purse of this kind that I've tried to make... I kind of made it up and put various things from different tutorials together. But I'm sure I've seen others like this. The pocket is kind of messed up and the whole thing is kind of not perfect (but who's perfect, right? Tongue). I think it looks pretty good for being the first one I've made of this kind. Tell me what you think.

16  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / camera lens cozy? on: January 16, 2006 09:54:52 AM
My boyfriend's birthday is coming up, I have no money... Well I do, but I'm saving it so I can go to California with him this summer. Anyway. I want to make him a cozy for his camera lens. What's the best way to go about doing this? I guess he wants it fitted to the lens, so I'll have to ask him about that... But anyway... all opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
17  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Suggestions needed on: October 04, 2005 08:23:56 PM
Usually I dont dress up for halloween, but I'm invited to a costume party this year and I would like to have a costume. I want to make it myself. Right now I have an old blue renaissance costume(that doesnt really look like a ren period outfit... its too shiny...) But since I'm never going to wear that costume again I would like to make it into something new.. or at least use the fabric to save some money. I need suggestions. I've been looking around, trying to get ideas, but I just can't think of any. I know you gals (and guys) are creative. Help would be appreciated.
