1  Re: Fiber Friday-June 25,2010 in Spinning: Completed Projects by rizzleraz on: June 25, 2010 10:18:35 PM
This is my first skein. It's only 26 yards. Light pink. It went a lot better than the little trial I did, it's still not worsted though. booooo. I'll get there though. After I can scrounge up more money for wool. Tongue I used the red Dylon dye and it turned this really cute pale pink.

2  First attempt-need some advice in Spinning: Discussion and Questions by rizzleraz on: June 20, 2010 03:09:34 PM
Definitely not as easy as some of you make it look. I got the hang of it as I went on though. I made a beautiful and accidental thick and thin. I do have a little concern with whether or not this will be overspun when i take it off. I didn't learn of overspinning until about 5 minutes ago. How do you avoid overspinning? Also, does the think-thin wonky look come from an uneven draft or does how I spin also effect that? Finally, I can't find anything that tells me what to do with the end of the yarn when I'm finished. I'm afraid the spin will come out.
Here's my creation!

3  Re: TRIPLE KITTY SWAP Gallery in The Swap Gallery by rizzleraz on: March 08, 2008 07:53:22 PM
All of my items together. Except I didn't take a picture of the kitty stickers.

A close up of the interior fabric. Very cute!

A pin cushion that was hidden in the pocket on the front of the bag!

And the bag without the pin cushion!

4  Re: beginner/intermediate level Panta CAL? in Crochetalongs by rizzleraz on: March 03, 2008 03:02:35 PM
I used a small amount of wool I had that I got for free. I think that made it stiffer, and why there appears to be holes in some places, mostly where dec's are. I like this though! It's easy to make and warm. I don't have velcro, so a safety pin will do for now.

5  Prom Clutch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by rizzleraz on: March 01, 2008 09:09:51 PM
My grandma and I started making my prom dress today. We got everything cut out and I had loads of extra fabric. So I decided to make a clutch to match! I used This link in the tutorial section as a guideline. There are lots of things I did, that she didn't do, but it's basically the same thing. Props to her for coming up with such a cute clutch that just so happens to match my 1930's syle wedding dress pattern for my prom dress!:D

This is what my border squares look like.

The Pattern.
I forgot to add that I added the last round. I just DC all around and make 4 ch 1 spaces in the middle of each side.

Anyone else ready for the March square? lol *is really excited about what the finished product will look like*

7  Valentine's Gifts in Beads: Completed Projects by rizzleraz on: February 12, 2008 09:23:17 PM
I rarely ever make any beaded things, but I wanted to make my bf some key chains for v-day. They're kinda rough, but I still think they're cute. Cheesy
A heart

The first letter of his name and the first letter of mine, together.

I also made a stitch marker for crocheting!

Everything is simple. Just beads on 24 gauge craft wire.

My feb turned out to be 9in...

It looks good though, considering my huge mistake. Cheesy

Here's my January. I'm just using some of the surplus yarn I have for this project. Most of it is red heart with other random brands thrown in here and there. I joined in on this last weekend, so I'm behind a little. I have started looking over the Feb pattern, and it's kind of confusing so I may have to ask some of you questions, if that's alright. I'm so excited about this project.  Grin Happy Crocheting!

10  New bag for school. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by rizzleraz on: February 03, 2008 06:50:04 PM
My old bag ripped, so instead of fixing it, I made a new one! I like this one better because it has a pouch for my colorful pens. And it seems lighter because I can place my books and such horizontally. This is also the first thing I've sewn in a long time. Crocheting is taking over my life.
