21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Lite Brite duct tape braclet! on: January 18, 2005 12:08:03 AM
I have so many Lite Brite pegs laying around, falling all over the place, and making a huge mess.  Half of them have been eatin by the vacume by now, yet I still have so many.  I made this braclet out of ducttape, added a snap closure with my cool snap closure do-dader... er... and then I glued the pegs on with e6000.  The green pegs are longer then all the rest, which really bothered me at first!! but now i kinda like it... yeah.

22  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Hooters AirPlane, Surgeon General Warning Duct Tape Chokers. on: January 18, 2005 12:01:29 AM
I made these two chokers for a friend of mine.

Yep.  Untill this very day, I was very unaware of the Hooters plane.  Feast your eyes.  =I

I am glad that someone is watching over us, thank you Surgeon.  Even though my friend smokes... maybe THIS will convince her otherwise!  =P

I couldnt find my peanut container filled with all my necklace crap, so i used yarn and saftey pins which is a-ok with me.  Random beads.  Maxim.  yarn. safteypins. clear packaging tape. fun.

23  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / I craft swap idea for stencilers.. on: January 09, 2005 01:21:18 PM
I posted this idea in the craft swap idea forum, but have not gotten any responses.  SO I though I would post it here as well, because this is the place where most stencilers go.

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=21755.0

check the thread out if your interested.  The main idea is that we all take the same stencil and create a shirt however we see fit and have a swap.  It explains a bit more in the link.  I also included an example tshirt I made.  I really think this could be a neat idea.  Let me know.

24  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Air Plane Barrett on: January 09, 2005 01:13:28 PM
I made this Barrett out of an Air Plane Micro Machine.  I have made some micro machine car and truck ones as well.  They are lots of fun!!!

I just took an old Barrett (the plain ones that come in the packs with all the other kinds, like flower, butterflys and ribbons, etc) and glued the plane on with e6000, and let it dry barrett side up over night.  I checked it a few times whilest drying because of the wheels on the plane it likes to slip, but once the glue gets a little tacky you can really set it in place.

The picture is a little blurry, but you get the idea.

25  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Stencil-Type Swap on: January 06, 2005 05:34:07 PM
This is just an Idea I think would be kinda fun, to do a swap where everyone involved uses the same stencil to make a tshirt with, and put their own spin on it.

I made this Napoleon Dynamite shirt for my boyfriends sister for xmas.  I just added little circles I cut out of felt and sewed on.  Stuff like that.  We're all very crafty and I think could come up with some pretty unique things, all based on the same concept which I think is kinda cool.

Let me know.  =)
26  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Eye Shadow?? on: December 12, 2004 07:49:05 PM
I have been experimenting with making eye shadow for a while now.  So far I can only make a liquid (its actually solid, but it is like water color paints) version that clumps easily. I have tried to make this powder, but it always reforms.  I was wondering if there are any threads on here about making eye shadow OR if anyone knows of any websites.  I have looked all over I feel like, and now am relying on comparing ingredients of different brands and experimenting.  Huh  Huh  Huh
