1  Re: T4-Tea Towels Go International in The Swap Gallery by randymacker07 on: September 20, 2008 12:49:05 PM
Here are some pictures of what I added to AmyRacinRose's pillow front. She has a vintage Christmas theme going so I used the holiday cuties pattern from work basket. I hope she likes it! I used backstitch, chain stitch, and french knots.

2  Baby Onesies in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by randymacker07 on: May 23, 2008 07:26:13 AM

Here are a pair of onesies I made for OWS-33. I used the Sublime stitching craftopia pattern and the tattoo lettering pattern. I think they came out really nicely! It was my first time working on t-shirt material and I don't know how often I will be doing that... I did use the tear away stabalizer and learned that longer stitches work best because they tear the stabalizer less. I think what I did with the knitting onesise worked better. Rather than stitching on the onesie itself I embroidered a piece of felt, cut it out and sewed it onto the onesie with a sewing machine. I like it that way better.

If anyone has any comments/criticisim it would be appreciated! Thanks for looking!

I sent a pair of embroidered onesise to Sanditerese and I know she is a busy mommy so I thought I would post for her because I am really proud of them! It was my first time embroidering onto t-shirt material and I don't think I will be doing it too often...  Grin I did learn that tear away stabalizer is great and longer sitches are best. She asked for a shirt that said "Oma's Girl" with flames and she likes to knit so I also sent one that says "Purl Girl" with a ball of yarn. I also threw in a hair bow to match each. She said she loves them and that her daughter looks adoreable in them. Yay!  Cheesy

I got a great package in the mail from Frosty772! She sent me a fabulous utensil roll to use for lunch at work! I love it and everyone wanted to know where I got it and if I would make them one. I felt so spoiled! It is so beautiful, I love the pink plaid. She even put a space for chopsticks! I'm going to have to plan a lunch that requires chopsticks just to use it. The roll also includes a lovely double sided napkin that folds into its own little space. I just adore it, thanks so much Frosty 772!

Here is the very generous package that I received from MimiW! She claimed me for bias tape makers and sent me this huge package! She sent four great magazines - Threads, Adorn, Sew Simple, and Sew Stylish Gifts to make. I have never seen some of these magazines and they are great! I especially like Sew Simple, it had a lot of tips/techniques that were helpful to me. She also sent me three ink pads (green, blue, and black) some pretty polka dot ribbon, and 2(!) Bias Tape Makers! Thank you so much MimiW for your genrosity! I love everything!

Wow, there are some beautiful things in this gallery! I wanted to finally post some pictures of packages I have received for OWS-33. They are great so get your wisting buttons ready!

First up is a beautiful apron from Homerof2. I told her I loved pink and green and she delivered! Isn't that material beautiful? I just absolutely love it, thank you Homerof2!

My cat London loves to inspect every package that comes into the house, she gives it two paws up!

The second package is from the wonderful Bettflow. She claimed me for crocheted swiffer cloths, recipes, post-its, and list pads. What a great package! I love the crochet work, I really need to learn how to do it. And the recipes look delish, I can't wait to try some later this week. Thank you Bettflow!

And finally I received my Shrinky Dink kit from em0tionalprayer, it is a mixed pack with all different types to try. I will be sure to put some of my creations on craftster when I make something. I think I am going to try one of those charm type bracelets first. Thank you em0tionalprayer

In total Zelda.Suicide crammed lots of beautiful fabric scraps and yardages, two cherry print pillowcases, ric rac trim, pearls, scrapbooking papers,  peel and stick fabric, a cohiba tin, and a christmas napkin stitching kit all into one flat rate box! Great stuffing skills Zelda.Suicide, thanks again!

8  A sweatshirt and hoodie for my Chihuahua in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by randymacker07 on: March 23, 2008 08:39:53 PM
I have a small Chihuahua who is always cold here in Virginia so I decided to use my craftiness to make her some clothes. I used a pattern to make both of these and they fit her so well. She really like wearing them too! I think she looks really cute and I have made her more of the hoodies since I took these photos. Thanks for looking! Comments and Criticisms are always welcomed!

The L is for Lilly, her name and I made this out of scraps from my t-shirt quilt posted here

9  Embroidery needle book with initial in Needlework: Completed Projects by randymacker07 on: March 23, 2008 08:31:25 PM
This needle book is my first completed embroidery project. I wanted to start with something small so I wouldn't be so overwhelmed that I never finished. I think it came out pretty cute! I used a tute online to make the book and I can find it again if anyone is interested. I put felt pages inside to hold my needles, scissors, needle threader, pins and other essentials. It's small enough that I can carry it around and work on my embroidery anywhere. I ordered some sublime stitching patterns so hopefully I will have some new things to post soon.

Comment and/or criticisms are always welcome, thanks for looking!

10  Simple Flannel Baby Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by randymacker07 on: March 23, 2008 08:25:58 PM
This is the second quilt that I have ever made and I am learning so much along the way. I really like how quickly this one came along. I put it together for a co-worker of mine and she loved it! It's her first baby and she didn't have anything handmade so I had to put something together for her. I loved this fabric and it was half off at Jo-anns. I did have a lot of trouble with the satin blanket binding. I don't know if I will be trying that again anytime soon. Any suggestions on how to use that stuff?

Comments and/or criticism always welcome! Thanks for looking!
