My Great Grandma is no longer with us, but I figured that some of you might get inspired by her quilt.  It's on display on my King size bed. It's huge and super comfy!

Here are a few close ups:

Thanks for letting me share her work.

23  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / How can I remove fabric paint? on: June 02, 2008 08:02:29 PM
I was stenciling something tonight and I'm not happy with the out come.  I was wondering if there was a way to remove the image?  I was using regular fabric paint. Thanks!
24  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Luna Necklace (Blue) on: May 17, 2008 01:06:16 PM
It protects against Nargles. Grin  I made this for my sister's birthday.  She's loves Harry Potter! Her favorite house is Ravenclaw and one of her favorite characters is Luna Lovegood.   The cork is supposed to be a butterbeer charm. Tongue

Thanks for looking!

Details of swap:
For this swap you may either make something that is on your partners wists or something based on a themed on their wists. For instance, if someone had lots of owl items on their wist then you could send them something with owls.  Or if someone had written that they liked the construction of a pair of earrings- you could make something in that style. For this swap dont worry if you dont know how to do a certain craft. For instance, if a person had a pair of fingerless gloves that were knitted on their list, you could always sew a pair.  Or if they had a knitted owl stuffy, you could sew an owl stuffy like it, or you could even make a little owl out of polymer clay, etc.

You must have a wists account to join this swap.  You must place your wists account on either the website section of your profile or you must place a clickable link to your wists account in your signature. You must have a minimum of 60 items in your wists account.  At least 50 of those items must craftable. However, more than the minimum amount is strongly encouraged.  In the questionnaire below youll be asked to list your top 10 from your wists account.  These however are just guidelines and are by no means necessary.

You will craft items totaling 6 points (or more if you arrange with your partner). In this point system,
1 Small = 1 point
1 Medium = 2 points
1 Large = 3 points
So you could craft 3M or 1L 1M 1S  to reach 6 points (other combinations are possible with multiple smalls).
What is the typical size of swap packages?

By Time
-Big = 3 or more hours
-Medium = 2 or more hours
-Little = 2 or less hours

By Size
-Big = A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse
-Medium = one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf
-Small = Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks

By Price
-Big = $30 or more
-Medium = $10-$30 dollars
-Small = $10 or less

The organizer reserves the right to decline swappers due to past occurrences of late sending.  You also will be denied if you do not have enough items in your wists account. All swappers must send with Delivery Confirmation or tracking if shipping within the US, or save receipt copies if shipping outside the US. Please PM your swap partners at least once every 10 days or so.  If you do not communicate with your partner, then you will have bad communication written in your feedback.

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

27  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Vintage Magnet! on: February 02, 2008 06:57:01 PM
Happy Groundhogs Day!
I made this vintage magnet that looks awesome next to the knitted butterfly magnet that my Great Grandma made.

Here's how I made it:
*I printed the vintage saying that I liked (One my brother put on a myspace message for me.)
*Then I covered it in clear nail polish to make it "water proof"
*After the nail polished dried I put cell phone decor rhinestones on it.
*Then I cut it out
*Then adhered the picture to my magnetic.

Here's the close up

Please let me know what you think. Thanks!
