1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Victorian Steam Punk Vampire on: November 05, 2009 04:27:41 PM
This is the first Challenge I entered. Tongue My friend and I had a great time making this year's Halloween outfit. It was a great hit!  Smiley

After drinking a bloody Mary or was it a Melanie? hehe

Argh Argh

Good Old-fashioned black and white (The top hat was actually made out of hard felt and fabric for the base)

This is just a shot where you can see the skirt and the beautiful bunching and rhinestones.

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Rochester Inkblot Test With My Silhouette on: July 03, 2009 09:26:01 AM
So this is what happens when youre super crafty and are a Psychology major. I took a basic sketch of my silhouette and then rotated them around and placed them in various locations and came up with my very own inkblots. Im not sure what I want to do with them yet. Any ideas?

This is what I started with Wink

Thanks for looking!

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / 6 years ann. gift...may be a LDR then on: June 12, 2009 07:27:02 PM
Well, It's looking like my boyfriend may have the chance to go for his life long dream. The problem is that my boyfriend most likely will be more than 1000 miles away, starting around 2 weeks before our 6 year dating anniversary. We currently live together, so it's going to be super hard to be apart for a few months minimum. I want to give him something really special for our 6 year anniversary. Keep in mind that he will most likely have roommates, so I don't want to send him anything that they may make fun of him over. Any thoughts would be welcome. Crafty or otherwise. Thanks!
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / What I make best swap/sample swap? on: May 25, 2009 06:12:16 PM
This would be a swap of 5-10 people per group where you would send ONE SMALL item of something you enjoy making to every member in your group. Examples: a bar of soap, candle, earrings, bracelet, zipper pouch, wash cloth, ATCs, clay charms, hat, iron on, mini painting, mini recipe book, ETC, ETC. So, everyone would get the same small item. It would just something that expresses yourself or at least is a stress relieving craft.

This would be a stress free swap making what you love, and receiving 5-10 random items. Its kind of like a sample pack of different crafts. I unfortunately wouldnt be able to organize this swap either, so we would need a volunteer. What do you guys think? Also, feel free to suggest more small sized items ideas.
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / 100% Virtual Photo Editing Swap on: May 17, 2009 11:46:25 AM
This would be a swap where you would e-mail your partner 5-10 pictures and uses some sort of photo editing or scrapbooking software to enhance the pictures. Then after youre done editing you would e-mail the edited pictures back to your partner. The gallery should have the before and after pictures. Also, this would be 100% FREE swap. No cost of materials or shipping!!!

Here are some websites you could use if you dont have photoshop:

6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / 100 facts about me swap? on: April 26, 2009 01:40:40 PM
So, I was blog snooping on here and saw that someone had a list of 100 random facts about themselves. Then I thought wow how cool of a swap would that be? I was thinking that if swappers each made a list of 100 facts about them, then we could craft based on that list. It would probably be best to have a point system for this swap & a LONG craft time. What do you guys think? I dont have the time to organize, but I think it could be FUN!
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Buffy/Twilight! on: April 05, 2009 09:16:42 PM
OK so I was watching videos on youtube and found this one video and thought "WHAT A GREAT IDEA FOR A SWAP!!" Let's do A Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Twilight themed swap. The "good" vampires with souls, chips, and who just don't want to be monsters. I wouldn't be able to host it, but if someone else is willing to....
Anyways, what do you guys think? Good idea?

Here's the video I got the idea from. (It's OK)

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Wire Wrapped Charm & Vintage Inspired Bracelet on: February 01, 2009 12:39:33 PM
Wire Wrapped Charm
This red wire wrapped charm is a first attempt at this style of jewelry. It is far from perfect, but I still like it ok.

Vintage Inspired Bracelet
This vintage inspired bracelet is very special. It's made up of a mixture of 3 vintage earrings that once were my Nana in laws. The chain, cross, and toggle piece were mine. The heart part of the toggle was found by my love Jonathan, on a soccer field.

Thanks for looking!
