2024  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: cloth pads=happy period on: March 25, 2008 10:30:26 AM
I stopped using pads at age 13 'cos of the bunching, but I'm getting less and less satisfied with my tampons- convenient though they are.
what I want to know is, would my really crap washing machine be able to cope with these? and also what detergent do you use? I can't use anything biological on my underoos due to allergies (chemical burns round there are NOT fun).
I have heard lots about the mooncup but really don't think thats for me, I practically faint if I cut my finger let alone...aaaanyway....
and also, what is the best to use as a filler? terrycloth? or bamboo fleece like in reusable nappies (diapers)?

thanks!
2025  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Fake dread things on: March 25, 2008 10:23:53 AM
from my days of using hairpieces I <3 bobby pins.
love the dreads btw. sometimes I miss my black hair; it went with everything. Can't get anything to match my natural colour.

a little tracing wheel (looks like a pizza cutter with a jagged edge)

OH! that's what that is!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry, I keep seeing them out of the corner of my eye in hobbycraft and my local haberdasher's but I never go and see what they are. and I felt too stupid to ask lol!!!

do you have any old t shirts of hers you can cut up? 'cos if you cut a sleeve out of one you can use it as a pattern...
other than that I'm afraid I'm no help.
