I went on a wire wrapping spree today!
It was my first time trying this technique and it was great fun, although i now have numerous holes in my fingers from the wire!! Some of the edges are a bit rough so just pretend you dont see them
Unfortunately the wire isnt anywhere near even on this one but i still really like it. The circle bead came from an old belt that i didnt like (otherwords became too small to use) as did the smaller beads with it. The circle bead with the hole in it is 4 and a half centimeters in diameter, i forgot to ask hubby to do a size shot as he was the one who took the photos for me.
Its hard to see but all of the wrapped stones are a gorgeously deep but shiny blood red colour, really really nice. I think i prefer them wrapped in silver wire rather than the gold but i ran out Still the gold doesnt look too bad.....
They all have a little hoop on the back to thread a chain or cord through to wear as pendants. Some of them have the hoop on show some dont.
I cant wait to get some more silver wire so that i can make that one again in the colour i prefer
So anywayz theres my first post of things iv made, sorry its pic heavy, im really pleased with how they've turned out, what do you think? Any tips hints or suggestion for when i get more wire are appreciated as i really enjoyed making them but as its my first time i probably messed up quite a lot!!
