1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Garnet set for mum on: January 07, 2011 04:11:14 AM
I made this set of jewellery for my mum for christmas. It is actually a deep red garnet i dont know why the picture decided to come out black  Huh It was quite simple to make using silver plated findings and garnet chips and rounds, she seemed to like them and got some nice comments when she wore them to work.

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Tree of Life Earrings on: April 08, 2010 01:32:30 AM
These have to be one of the most fiddly things I have done in years. They are like the Tree of Life design pendants iv made before but this time small enough to be warn as earrings! Each one is made with silver plated findings, thin silver wire and tiny little gemstone chips. They are aproximately 3.5cm in diameter.

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / 3 Tiered Gemstone Chip Earrings. on: April 06, 2010 01:31:33 PM
I have been on a bit of an earrings making kick lately, and after looking through my collection of gemstone chips i decided on this idea, and well i just kept on going! Each earring has 6 gemstone chips with 3 small glass accent beads at 3 different lengths.

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Junk to Art for Annoying neighbour on: April 05, 2010 11:25:25 AM

I live in a ground floor apartment and we share the front door and small passageway with the upstairs tennant. He is one of these people who will never pick up their mail, we end up with big piles of it in the passageway for ages and ages. Its only in a neat pile because i sort it out every now and then throw out all of the junk mail and pile up all of his mail next to his door, if i didnt do this then the passageway would be a mess all the time. Its also a very boring passageway with blank walls with plaster chipping off and i wanted a way to cheer it up a bit. He has a hell of a temper, as we often hear through the rather thin ceilings so not wanting to say anything to him about the mail problem i tried to think of another idea, that is when i saw these posts. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343120.0 and http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=246766.0 . Pictures made from junk mail, perfect! I know he probably wont catch onto the irony, but i decided to give it a go anyway and here are the pictures.

Getting started -

Just a tip, if you ever want to make one of these, use bigger strips than i did, it took forever! The orange you see is double sided sticky tape, thats how i decided to attach the strips.

Nearly done -

All trimmed up -

To keep with the irony idea i decided to choose a picture that symbolises recycling

The finished piece -

Its a shame he wont understand what the piece is about, but for me every time he sees it, it is the same as me sticking my tongue out at him for being such a lazy and messy neighbour!
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Craft my favourite game swap? on: September 07, 2008 07:11:20 AM
Id love to do a swap where any or all of my fav games can be involved. New games, console games, old school games, whatever your favourites are.

Whether its Final Fantasy, World of warcraft, Commander keen, Mario, Wii Sports, Neopets, or Fifa 2000 all can be catered for.

I can imagine an endless list of items that could be made, earring hearthstones, Mario tisue box, A squishy keen alien, mushroom jewellery, playstation controller cushions, the list really is endless.

What do you all think? Is it something you'd like to join? Is it too wide a field or would you enjoy trying other peoples favourite games and researching what you find there?

Id personally love this swap but i really want to see whether anyone else would enjoy it too.
6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Doggy wallhanging. (5 pics) on: July 02, 2008 07:39:00 AM
I have made a wallhanging designed as a kind of shrine to my dog Pip (aka Pipster).
What do you think? The corners look a little crumpled because it fell off the wall the first time i put it up.

7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Tablet strips on: February 19, 2008 06:02:27 AM
Iv now got a big bag of these as the local council wont recycle them and i refuse to throw them away. Any ideas for what i can do with old tablet strips? The bigger ones may work as moulds but some are much too small for that.

Heres a pic to show you what i mean by tablet strips as i dont know a proper name for them.

If anyone has any ideas id really appreciate them Smiley
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Monkey Nokey! on: February 19, 2008 05:14:30 AM
I saw these Monkey Key Caps advertised on Crafster in that little top right advert box and just knew i had to get some! Iv lost the link now and no amount of refreshing is bringing them up sorry, but this is what the pack looks like when you get it..

Anyway i got them in the post and after 5mins of waving them in front of hubbys face shouting about how great they were i realised i only actually own 2 keys  Sad So once id picked 2 out and attached them and again -of course- told hubby how great they were (why does he put up with me?!) i couldnt face putting the rest into a drawer knowing they'd never see the light of day again. Instead i turned to my trusty crafting desk and set to work, now i have a Monkey-Nokey jewellery set, YAY!

Heres the pics...

A choker made with a thin strip of black crushed velvet.

And two nice simple earrings.

I love my monkey set Cheesy
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Bumble Bee Beads! on: February 18, 2008 03:13:00 AM
I loved these beads the second i saw them, they are like a cross between big bumble bees and old fashioned sweets! I decided to give them a garden theme bracelet and then some earrings to match, i love wearing these they shine and glitter when the suns out.

Also i love how elegant these Semi-See-Through leaves look with silver chain, so i kept this set really simple. Err... action shots only, ignore the bad hair day!

Hope you like them Smiley
