Oh sakijane! Your needlebook came out great! I love that you used snaps!

Here is the one I finished last night for my friend, using her fav colors:

2  Can someone help me figure out how to fix the size of this shirt? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Bertha79 on: October 01, 2004 08:15:33 AM
Hi guys,
I am hoping someone here can help me. I scored a sweet vintage western shirt on eBay last year for part of a halloween costume. It looks something like this one, but with red flowers and some stripes:

Anyway, I am thinking I'd actually like to wear it. It looks great with beat up jeans...the problem is that since it's a man's shirt, it's a bit longer than it should be, and it hugs too tight down on my hips, and looks frumpy...It fits perfect on the top though...

I want to figure out how to shorten it a bit so it just grazes my hips. I am an advanced-beginner sewer (I'm a quilter) but I have never sewn clothing before, so I have NO IDEA what to do here. I don't want to ruin the thing, you know? I'd like to maintain that curvy bottom too, if I could.

Can one of you awesome craftsters out there tell me how I can go about this? If I can do this successfully, I'll post before and after pics of the shirt...
