Iris the Poppetaur

The pattern was created by blending a bambi pattern posted on craftster, elenore body posted on this craftalong and the orginal poppet head and arms.

This is my second poppet.... I loved the idea of creating a centaur and it was fun to test my skill in creating patterns. Learned a great amount… the first horse body look like a bull…which is funny since I started with the bambi pattern posted on Craftster. The next one I increased the feet and thinned the curves inside the legs which also helped her stand on all fours better. I played with her body to the horse legs a few times.... I still want to try a second centaur.

I like fabric with nap.... details like boobs, paws and the nose work better.... needle crafting looks so ugly with wrinkles.... I didn't finsh the paws or boobs with level of detail that I like

I just can not stop making sweet looking toyes..... cute is my Default.

Rainbow Brite Rag Doll Canary Yellow

Happy B-day Andrea!!!

The best is that the doll is ready a month before her b-day. She loves Canary Yellow, who is Rainbow Brite's best friend, because of her sweet nature and she is a dancer too!

I had great joy in creating this original doll from a mc Calls vintage pattern from 1984, number 9238 or 743. The pattern is only for Rainbow Brite but I created Canary’s clothes and hair from pictures. This is my First doll that I did have a pattern for the clothes, I learned a lot. 





Her face is hand painted.... from the pattern.

I love vintage patterns and animals... Also Kats are my BF's animal... so here she is PINKY Kat.

I learned one thing from creating her stuff them, pack them, love them.  I was not stuffing enough,  legs and head wrinkle more and more every time I play with her.

This is My first Poppet created for my Boyfriend who loves pookas and the black and white Harvey movie.

Her skin is from a recycled leather coat, so soft. I lucked out and found the eyes, gold highlights are so cool.

Her Pj's is created from a 1920's booklet Dolly and Her clothes.

I pulled the treads out of each yard.... curly hair
