1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Bookmarks on: February 05, 2008 05:23:07 AM
Hello Everyone

Some of you may know that I'm doing all the invitations, favours, decorations etc for my friend's wedding. This friend has had a mastectomy and is recovering.

As she's on a very tight budget, I thought I'd do her some bookmarks for favours, with their photo on it and a nice little verse. Then got thinking it might be nice to have a breast cancer pin stuck to it too.

Now, I'm not sure how much these would be here (I'd need around 200), but can someone please tell me how much they sell for in the USA and if I'd be cheaper buying them from there?

I don't mind what design they are.

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Wedding Invitation Printing on: February 01, 2008 02:03:26 AM
Good Morning Everyone

I wonder if someone could give me some tips on what I can use for the writing on the invitations I'm doing for my friend's wedding.

I don't really want to put the card through my printer, so can you tell me what else you use for the inserts and any other writing?

Is it possible to get calligraphy stencils or something?

Thanks again

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Some Advice Needed Please Re Wedding! on: January 28, 2008 07:27:06 AM
Hello everyone

Forgive me for asking for help on my first post here but I really could do with some helpful tips!

My friend is getting married in November this year (I know it's far off yet but I might need some time! lol) and she's not long had a mastectomy. She's been campaigning relentlessly to try and make sure that all females are measured correctly to ensure they're wearing the correct size of bra.
Despite the pain and discomfort she's in, she would do anything to help anyone.

She's on a tight budget, and she's asked that anyone who was planning on giving wedding gifts, give it to charity instead.

I'd really like to do something special for her, a surprise if possible and try to make her day that little bit more special as she deserves it.

I thought about doing a towel cake, but then thought perhaps I could do something more for the wedding itself. I think she's already got her invitations, so can't do them for her. I did think about favours, but I'm not sure how many people she's having, it might just be a small wedding with them not having much money.

Soooo, I wondered if you could suggest something special that I could do for her and her new husband.

I'm pretty good at most crafts, my favourite is cross stitch and knitting, but don't think that would be suitable on this occasion - has anyone got any ideas please!!
