1  Re: Amy Butler Patterns in Sewing Pattern Reviews by nepenthe on: September 23, 2004 02:34:43 PM
Below are some photos of my finished Madison Bags' Downtown Clutch with some of Amy Butler's fabric:

I am still debating the addition of a strap, simply because it's awkward to carry when filled with my heavy wallet and other purse-worthy items:

I absolutely love the shape of this purse, but it does need stronger interfacing than the Craft Fuse suggested in the pattern, at least for the bottom (there are threads about interfacing Amy Butler bags at www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=7989.0 and www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=2460.0).

I would definitely recommend this pattern with the thicker interfacing, as I will attempt.  I am also going to try to create a smaller version of this clutch (may be easier to hold), but first I am on to try the Chelsea bags!
