what an incredible gift!  i especially like the accordion book.  i saw that you mentioned you hope to add a tutorial... how did you come up with the rings that join the pages?  also, did you put more than one layer of the tea-dyed fabric onto the cardboard?  Looks like you did some rough painting of blue onto the page edges before you glued the final fabric on?  Thanks so much for sharing.  Inspirational.

truly cheerful!  well it would make me smile everytime i saw it... i am amazed by the patterns you put in the shading, and the way the copper bolts glow a bit and almost make a pattern of their own.

keeping the # of sprites low makes it look great.  i love it!  inspirational for a customized useful gift.
14  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Mod Butterfly Wings! (Now with better pics!) on: November 22, 2008 08:59:55 PM
They are great!  I'm guessing you glued the yellow/orange/white pieces onto the black?  Excellent 'negative space' in the design, i love how it looks between the colored pieces.   Could you tell me how the wings are attached to you, the engineering of it?  Were they awkward if you tried to walk through a doorway?

you are a sweetheart.  It all looks great and it also looks like there wasn't a huge rush to finish things at the end, amazing.  happy hunting!
16  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: Seven Seas Hoodie! yarr... on: November 15, 2008 06:07:20 PM
This hoodie is great, very inspiring.  i've used stencils a lot but thanks so much for the freezer paper tutorial. the stripes are completely "why didn't i think of that", a really excellent design touch, you've got a talent for it!  the fleur-de-lis adds balance.  Thank you for sharing.
