4  a prom dress !!! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by roads on: April 03, 2005 03:25:57 PM
my prom was friday. it was boring, but at least i looked pretty.

i made the dress. it was a pain. i hated it for the longest time.

here's the paint sketch that i based it on:

it turned out pretty close i guess. except i couldn't find good freakin ribbon to make the bow.

here it is on me:

i made it it out of shiny silver material, don't remember what it's called, and sewed the black lace onto the bodice.  i cut up a bunch of black and grey tulle and just sewed it on haphazardly, and that's my favorite part.  i had a lot of compliments on it, and was told that i look like an evil fairy. but a cute one.  i also had a shawl that i made from my bodice lace, but i wound up not wearing it at all.

and just for fun, here are pictures from prom:

yes!  i def am in.  i do believe i am going to buy material and/or pattern today.  i drew a picture of what i'm going for.  it's very professional, i drew it in paint =)

(don't laugh)

okay well the top is grey with black lace, and the bottom is grey white and black tulle, and there's a ribbon around the waist and a ridiculously large bow.  hopefully it works.

oh and i picked the handbag too, tehe

9  have 2 dollars and 20 minutes? make a shirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by roads on: October 08, 2004 09:05:54 AM

(i was having trouble taking pictures of the back.)

this is the easiest shirt to make ever.  i just sewed two bandanas (walmart - 94 cents) together and added ribbon for the straps.  and tadam!  awesome shirt.
