Thanks for the nice comments!
Yep, I made them...sewing is the easy party, beading...isn't!
I don't have an etsy...never thought about it, maybe this winter I'll start one.

Haven't posted in a loooong time but thought I'd share these!  The butterfly moccasins were my first pair for my niece, the flower ones were for her mom.  They wore them at a few pow wows this year.  Beading takes forever!  I need more practice.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone!  I love party planning...thanks for letting me share!

The pinata was made from a huge balloon for the belly, a small one for the head, posterboard limbs, tail, & neck(we made tubes and cut & bent them to fit right) and the wings and spikes are made from a foam board I got at the dollar store.  It was kind of hard to construct, we had to make the belly, tail, neck, & head first.  The second time we put on limbs, lastly we put on the wings and smaller details.

CinDLuWho --- Are you making a my little pony pinata?  I made one for my niece a couple years ago.  I used 3 balloons & posterboard.  I can send you pics if you'd like.

Knights was this years theme!  Here are the pics.

Invites

Pinata we made

Cake.  I hate doing cakes because I suck but he loved it so that's all that matters.

Decorations:

Treasure chest for the kings treasure chest hunt

The kids were pretty excited when they opened it up.

The castle.  It was supposed to be more like a real castle but the wind ruined my plans and it turned out to be a long tunnel tied to the porch.

The girls made princess hats and there were crown crafts for the boys but there was no sitting them down for a craft after they had their swords and sheilds.  They played swords the entire time.

slaying the dragon.  The littlest girl in pink was scared of the pinata and wouldn't go near it till it was smashed!

The boys got knight filled goodybags and the girls got unicorn items in theirs.  I had other crafts and games planned but they just played swords in the castle which was fine by me!

that's awesome! But I can't imagine letting a bunch of 5 year olds smash it to bits! Well, maybe I can, if it were my daughter, I guess I'd let her. It'd be hard to hand over that bat though! Hope the party goes great! Will you post pics of the event so we can see the whole theme put together?

I will be sure to put up pics in the party planning section on Sunday.  We are making a castle for the kids to play in and I might try to be brave and do a castle cake.  He is so excited!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone!  We are trying to make a wooden sword to hit it with, if not, a kids baseball bat will have to do!

Wow I haven't posted here in a loooong time!

My little sister and I made this for the 5 year olds birthday next weekend.  He chose a Knights theme!  It turned out bigger than I thought it would.  It's huge, over 5 feet long.  But the kids will be exited.

Here's ALL the party pics: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=305416.0

These are great!  They'd be perfect for themes that you can't find in stores.  Thanks for sharing!
