1  Homemade Felt Tree Ornaments in Winter Holidays by Cinnam0n_spider on: December 17, 2011 04:47:14 PM
Every year since we have had cats, our Christmas tree has been a target. We would come home to find all the decorations missing (we recently found a tonne of decorations under the fridge when we moved it) or the tree had been pulled down entirely. Much to my dismay we gave up on the idea of even having a tree 2 years ago. Then last year it just wouldn't do. I bought a mini tree to put on our mantle. Just like in previous years, our 2 cats (plus 2 foster kittens) knocked it off the mantle and stole all of the decorations. So this year, a new plan!

I made 2D felt decorations in the likeness of our family. I was hoping they would be less appealing as they could not roll around if pulled down and not shiny and tempting!

Our Cat Bruce did knock the tree down once or twice but has since given up as their are no decorations worth stealing!
SUCCESS!

This is Bruce he thinks he is in charge of quality control, prior to me putting the decorations on.

These are the decorations, our cats Baxter and Bruce, our dog Sam and Myself and the boyfriend Dan.

On the tree, it's still a little naked, but we need to keep the temptation to the cats low!

This is me with my ornament. It's different to the one on our tree as this is a part of a set for my parent's Christmas tree! ^__^

Hope you like them!
Merry Christmas everyone!! Cheesy

4  Birthday present - quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by Cinnam0n_spider on: December 18, 2010 07:53:49 AM
I'm a little embarrassed to post this in the quilts file but I wasn't really sure where else to put it!
It's by no means as amazing as all the other quilts in this file. This is just a very basic quilt that I made for my mum for her birthday and a little matching cushion.

Ta da! Smiley

6  Cubies Update in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Cinnam0n_spider on: January 11, 2009 04:46:40 AM
Hey Craftsters, firstly I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Years! Mine was pretty quiet, just the way I like it!!

I have been busy  over the holiday season and here are some finished ones.

I just finished this guy today, he is about 4x the size of my regular cubies. The recipient wanted an evil sushi cubie, hopefully I have pulled it off!!

This is a zombie girl cubie as requested by a friend of mine. She was very pleased with it Smiley

He kind of reminds me of a grandpa. I think he is cute, I could have happily kept him for myself.

I like to do this when I have spent a whole day or two making cubies because I can see how much work I have done and I feel accomplished.

Anyways that is all for now.. but I should have some new ones to post soon!
Bye!

8  The evolution of flying tofu in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Cinnam0n_spider on: October 27, 2008 02:49:25 AM
My flying tofu's continue to evolve into little critters. Here are 2 new designs.

SlimeySam, he scours the sewers and drains for slime to roll in. It's his favourite pasttime. He is inspired by my new dog Sam who gets gunky eyes due to his diabetes.

This little guy has not yet got a name, so if you have any suggestions please let me know. At first glance he looks like a blood sucking monster but at closer inspection you will find that he just really likes tomatoes!! This is evident by the little tomato top on his head.

Well I hope you guys like them!!!
Take Care! <3
