Truck cake for my son's 2nd bday party:



I did most of it, but the hubby finished frosting it cuz I was ready to throw it across the room.

So yesterday morning, my son was wrapping a blanket around him, kind of like a cape. So I asked him if he wanted me to make him a cape. He said "a red cape." He's 22 months. I'm not sure he really understands what a cape is, but the master made a request so last night I made this:

He's really enjoying it and wore it over to Grandma's house.

So I angeled for the bookmark swap I did. These are the bookmarks I made.





I need to make some owl stuff too. Well, I want to.  Every time I see some great owls like that I want to make some.

So my son is very into trucks. He's also been really into bags lately. He'll take any bag (often one of my purses), load it up with stuff, and tote it around the house. So I made this mini tote bag for him while he was napping using some truck fabric and scrap fabric for the lining.



I'd post an action shot, but he refused to touch the bag and ran away from it. Sigh.

It's hard to tell from my not so good pic, but the yellow one is a textured cardstock with vines. The strips at the top have asian writing. Way cool. Thank you!

Ok, I'm back. For a day. I'm going out of town tomorrow and I'm sure I'll have a million pages to read when i get back. I've been reading everyone's posts-- I just didn't feel up to commenting. But ya'll have been making some really great stuff.

So, I've had the worst two weeks of my life. My father passed away on Super bowl Sunday. Then my son came down with stomach flu. then my husband came down with it, and then I did. To be physically miserable on top of the emotional stress was almost unbearable. And then on Wednesday, I got a package from ravenztarot. And it really brightened my day -- made me feel a little bit better. So thank you! I really needed it.
