so, i bought this pattern and have gotten to the "short rows" part.  in the pattern it says to knit a certain number of rows wrap the next stitch and turn work to purl.....what does she mean "wrap the next stitch"?  i have worked with short rows before, but im just not quite sure what to do.

4  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Mosaic tree table of happiness...*IMAGE HEAVY( fairly wordy as well)* on: September 09, 2008 06:39:38 PM
your table is awesome!

these may be silly questions, but how did you get the tiles to stick to the table while you were working on it?  and since you used resin, does that mean that you didn't grout it?
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / string earrings question on: September 09, 2008 03:09:33 PM
so, i am sure that most of you have seen those wonderfully colorful earrings with embroidery string wrapped around coils.  i was wanting to make some but i'm not sure if  i should try to buy the coil first?  if so, does anyone know where i could buy it?  if anyone has any tips i would be thrilled

like these here.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / big needles vs. small needles when felting!??! on: March 20, 2008 06:54:05 AM
i have never really felted anything, and i have this nice handspun hand-dyed yarn that's been sitting around for two years!  i am without hot pads at my house and i thought this would be a nice project.  i made one last night with size 9 needles and hand felted it.  it looks good, but there are spaces between each stitch......

question is...should i use bigger or smaller needles to get a tighter felt?

i just don't want to ruin this nice yarn!
