2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / My painted ribbon pillowcase on: June 16, 2008 10:09:11 AM
I decided to make a pillowcase & then add a ribbon.  Then I added a bow & then handpainted my daughter's names on it.  They love their new pillowcases & it was super easy!

ah, yes, bribery....be glad it still works! Your girls are so cute!

I love the bows. Would you mind sharing how you made them? (Did you post it somewhere?)

QB

The bows are the easiest.  I belong to another forum - Hip Girls Clips.com and there is a wonderful lady on there who shared it.  Let me ask her if I can share it - I do not want to step on any toes.  And I will pm you.  Thanks!

Sooo cute!

Have you done any shirring on your own? I only buy shirred fabric if I find it in remnants. Its pretty easy.

LOVE the hairbows!!!! Can we get action shots?

( My kid has no hair, sniffle sniffle )
It is not the best pic  - I had to bribe them to make them wear the shirts - Ugh - kids?!?!?

I purchased pre-shirred fabric and made shirts for my twin daughters.
And a hairbow to match.
I can't wait to learn to shir fabric soon.

That is very cute.. what did you use for a lining?

Sorry I was too vague.  I used another (off-white solid) shirt.  And I made pockets in the tote using the outer fabric.
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Baby blanket to a child's tote on: June 10, 2008 04:43:51 PM
I received 45 baby blankets at my baby shower (when I was pregnant with my twin daughters).  I kept them all and decided to use a blanket to make a tote for one of my daughters.  She loves it & it was so easy
