1  My painted ribbon pillowcase in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by MGurley on: June 16, 2008 10:09:11 AM
I decided to make a pillowcase & then add a ribbon.  Then I added a bow & then handpainted my daughter's names on it.  They love their new pillowcases & it was super easy!

Sooo cute!

Have you done any shirring on your own? I only buy shirred fabric if I find it in remnants. Its pretty easy.

LOVE the hairbows!!!! Can we get action shots?

( My kid has no hair, sniffle sniffle )
It is not the best pic  - I had to bribe them to make them wear the shirts - Ugh - kids?!?!?

I purchased pre-shirred fabric and made shirts for my twin daughters.
And a hairbow to match.
I can't wait to learn to shir fabric soon.

4  Baby blanket to a child's tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by MGurley on: June 10, 2008 04:43:51 PM
I received 45 baby blankets at my baby shower (when I was pregnant with my twin daughters).  I kept them all and decided to use a blanket to make a tote for one of my daughters.  She loves it & it was so easy

5  1st time to share - Button-up shirt to a tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by MGurley on: June 10, 2008 04:39:51 PM
I absolutely loved the tutorial about making a toddler dress using a man's button up.  I liked it so much I used my husband's old shirts that he was going to toss into a tote!
