1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New, Airport friendly Laptop Bag on: May 13, 2011 03:35:24 AM
My husband and I have started traveling more frequently lately and
I've been meaning to make a bag for my Mac. I finally got around to it
this week. I used Simplicity 3889, bag C. I had to make a few changes
to the sizing and some of the finishing. I got an idea from a photo I
saw to make one side of the bag a woven grid of elastic so I could
organize all my little accessories. Here's the pics! Comments/
critiques welcome!

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Skirts for baby, headbands, and baby sling... on: April 20, 2010 12:31:05 PM
This is actually my first post. I dont know why I've never posted anything I've made before. Oh well. My Sister in law just had her first baby and it is a girl so I wanted to make a few girly baby things for her.

Inspired by this post http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=341523.0 I think partially because the baby was so freakin adorable...
I went to Target and got a package of onsies and headed off to the craft store to find some cute matching fabrics for the skirts.

The first one I made exactly as the tutorial said.

I didn't love how it ended up looking, so I modified the last 2 skirts to be just pull on/off. Here they are paired with the rest of the onsies that I didn't destroy in the process of trying a new way... lol

This one ended up being my favorite Smiley

And I made these 2 headbands with some scraps

Then I decided to make a baby sling for mom with this tutorial http://www.handmade-adelaide-baby.com/free-baby-sling-pattern.html sorry this isn't the best picture but you can at least see the fabric

I hope they like everything. Maybe I can get some action shots once they get everything Smiley
3  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 24 ENTRIES / New apron to cook more on: February 03, 2008 03:28:55 PM
This is my first entry, as I'm new to Craftster.

One of my resolutions this year is to cook more AT HOME rather than taking the easy way out and eating fast food. So I made an apron, to encourage me to cook more often.

I did not use a pattern, just kind of used a T-shirt & skirt to help guide me to get the right "size"

Here are some of the "making of" photos(sorry I cant post direct images because I don't have enough posts)
and the finished product
Thanks for looking Smiley
