I am interested in the same thing - I'm going to Columbia next month and i would love to see what youre crafts stores are like (also in my country there is really not much of that stuff - it's getting better but still...). So you'd really help me if you'd point me to some good spots. I'll only be staying a few night and won't have much time (symposium scedule is tight) to just look around. So PLEEEEEASE, all Columbian crafters, HELP!

I modeled him freehand: an egg shape for the head - two flattened sausages for ears, ball for the tail... I just went with the flow - it was done in a hurry and not very precise. I hope we'll do something with the kids this year:)

I like her, she's different (the face and all). In case you wouldn't want the stitches to show, I would suggest using a bit shorter stitch. But it does give a "primitive" feeling (in a good way - I saw this expression used in refernece to some sort of cloth dolls - I hope you know what I mean: robust feeling)

18  EUROPE / GERMANY / craft stores Berlin on: March 22, 2011 11:44:53 PM
Hi, I'm in Berlin (conference) so I thought I'd check some artsy and crafty stores. There must be a lot of them since it's a big city but I haven't seen any on my way around. I am stationed at Berlin Tegel so I'd prefer some advice to what is near Humbolt University since I go there every day. Any advice would be greatly appreciated since we don't have many art&crafts stores from where I come from. Please please, German girls and ladies, help! I'm only here for tomorrow, we leave Friday very early so this is "crafty emergency" Grin.
Thank you soooo much!!!!
Veri
