3  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / quilt from baby clothes? on: January 23, 2008 12:35:51 PM
So I have a sewing machine and I want to make my first ever quilt. I have made some costumes n such before so I dont consider myself completly new to using it lol but since my great grandma is helping me I thought we might do it by hand. I saved my boys clothes from their infant stages and want to make a typical block quilt. I figure my squares will be about 4inx4in. What is a good place to get my backing and side parts? ANy tips for me lol
4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / hello! newbie here showing off lol on: January 23, 2008 10:44:29 AM
hey guys! second post ever LOL anyways i used to be a canvas/acrylic artist but since i have my 2 messy boys (4&3) we all make too big of a mess and countless WIP have been demolished  Undecided So I switched to digital medium about a year ago and here are some of my pieces. I license with some companies for merchandise ect. I also do a lot of commissions.
Let me know what you think! hope I did this right lol

took 14hours to complete (almost non stop too) i can get really really addicted when im painting something i know i will love. One of my fav portraits

18hours total work done on this piece. I adore painting children in fantasy scenes.

An Angel Baby. In memory of those infants that have passed before their time...

Cheesy My name is Lacy and I live in Indpls. I am 22, married, and a stay at home mom to Mikey 4 and Joey 3. We live not too far from broad ripple. I don't drive lol wierd I know but it makes me too nervous with the kids in the car. lol I am sooo addicted to crafting lol whether its jewelry, scrapping, or candle making. I found this forum looking into how to do resin jewelry lol
I am a full time free lance artist. I license with companies for merchandise and also do commissions. I used to paint on canvas til I had my messy kids so now I use my computer and a pressure sensitive tablet and pen to do the same thing.
I am very interested making some new friends that would want to hang out or chat about crafting or art. I ADORE coffee lol. I am up for swaps and craft meetings! I can even host meetings if needed!
Anyways thats me in a nutshell! *waves*  Cheesy
