The dresses are beuatiful and I especially like the fabric for the Alice in Wonderland dress, where did you find that?

I must confess though that what caught my eye the most was the background, is it your closet door because that's what I was assuming...either way its bitchin' and I am totally freaking jealous.

So, I am uber uber late as it is now about time that I will be starting on this year's costume, buuuut whatever. I have wanted to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast(best movie evar!) for YEARS but could never find a costume that was...er...accurate enough. So I made this dress from scratch, based it LOOSELY on a pattern for a wedding dress from...Simplicity? i think... I have no idea why the skirt looks like 2 different colours in the first image, becuase it matched perfectly but had a different texture on the bottom half, stupid camera. .

...also, I made matching long gloves, but they were getting in the way of my drinks, which you can probably tell I had had a few of by the time the second picture was taken. Smiley

wow I'm impressed that you did the leaves "freehand". I know how hard it is to stick to a specific line with tight curves on  sewing machine. it's very cute!
