Well done you. I LOVE felt food and have had a go myself. It is quite tricky to get it looking real. Love your cream puffs on the cake slice.
I find it really hard not to put cute lil faces on everything I make!!!

Cheesy Thanks to all of you!

The foresthill bridge is quite amazing (when it is not closed due to jumpers!!!)

My friend base jumped off it for a Nike commercial in the early 2000 and she said it was a total blast!

I am happy the sentiment of Clem and Coach are true also for a number of living places...
I have never been further north than liverpool in the UK so I look forward to seeing Scotland!

My home HOME town (just outside London) is NOT this way although I still love it dearly. That is why thisplace is just sooo amazing to me! (Although it would be fun to have radio active cheerleaders here too! ha ha ha)

Welcome to Auburn, California, Established in 1848.

Located just 30 miles northeast of Sacramento on Interstate 80, Auburn is filled with the historical reminders of California's gold rush days.
Auburn became my beloved home in 1999 and is also home to some of the most challenging and historic physical endurance events on the planet. The vast network of roads and trails in the Auburn State Park and surrounding Sierra Nevada make Auburn a destination for endurance athletes of all levels and interests.
Within the boundaries of this state park are more sporting endurance events than any other place in the world, giving Auburn the undisputed and internationally-acclaimed title of Endurance Capital of the World.
Examples include the Western States 100 mile endurance run, Tevis Cup 100 mile equestrian ride, American River 50 mile endurance run, American River 50 mile equestrian ride, Way Too Cool 50K endurance run, Auburn International half-iron man triathlon, Auburn Century 100 mile bike ride, Coolest 24 hour mountain bike ride, Rio Del Lago 100 mile endurance run, Sierra Nevada 50 mile endurance run, and the Coolest Run: Ride & Tie.
Additionally, Auburn has provided the perfect location for the filming of a number of blockbuster productions. In fact, one of the most amazing stunts for the film xXx (triple x) was filmed at the Forest Hill Bridge when a Corvette drove off the bridge to crash into the canyon below!

(xXx  is a 2002 action movie starring Vin Diesel. XXX was marketed as a James Bond style film for the new millennium and featured similar gadgetry, international schemes and intrigues, villain-sponsored take-over-the-world schemes backed up by doomsday devices, a female co-star/love interest, and elaborate stunts)

It is in honor of the title 'Endurance Capital of the world' that my submission to this Craftster challenge is a pair of lungs!
The felt lungs signify the healthy respiratory system needed to participate in any endurance event.
Their non-internal organ coloring shows the essence of Auburn. Nature- greens, browns and creams...Beautiful green trees and fields, parched brown earth and cool rocks and canyons.
The Trachea is designed of felt and decorated with old images of the U.S.A. flag and California flag recurrently, representing Auburn's place in the world.
The right pictured lung is "Clem".  Named after Lake Clementine, one of the beautiful canyon lakes in the Auburn State Park.

The left pictured lung is "Coach" and is named after the historic Stagecoach Trail, in Auburn that was originally a toll road built in 1852 known as Yankee Jims Turnpike and later became known as Old Stage-coach Road.It offers spectacular views of the Confluence Area and the American River Canyon.

They are sat on a black crochet Diaphragm amongst a crop of  "(gold)Miners Lettuce"!
The marking on the Larynx is a tribute to the awesome stunt, filmed in Auburn for the hit film.
Both Clem and Coach have hand stitched Bronchial Trees and a more delicately sewn rendering of Alveoli, off of each tree.
There is a marked difference in size between Clem and Coach. This represents that Auburn, is a small town that accepts people of all ages, walks of life, strengths and weaknesses. The difference between Clem and Coach is of no consequence. Although Clem may have to work a little harder due to his size and reduced bronchial tree, he is still able to work hard and compete equally with Coach.
To me this is Auburn.
A natural preserve full of possibility for all.
