1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Zombie dolls? Check out my scary sock zombies! on: January 24, 2008 02:42:31 PM
Why make sock monkeys when you can make sock zombies.

Start with a simple sock monkey pattern, but instead of putting on a monkey mouth, tail, and ears, put on a scary bloody mouth and black embroidery around the eyes.  I use old socks and tye-die them to make them look like green mottled skin.  Use whatever you have around the house for clothes, but make sure you put holes in it to make your zombie look dirty and unkempt.  I also use red thread to make open sores.  Is it gross, sure, but I love zombies.

Anyway, I've gone crazy and started making constant sock zombies.  They even have their own web page.

Here is a picture of one hungry hoard.  They're coming to get you Barbara!
