1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Corset back jacket almost done - advice on sleeves? on: February 05, 2008 02:06:03 PM
Made this jacket for a friend, started to do bell style sleeves now i'm not sure if i should do something different. Even keep them 3/4 long? I just realized the back is not straight looking in the photo, the top loop really isn't crooked!!
Any ideas??
Thanks Smiley

2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / ? about lycra and like fabrics on: February 04, 2008 02:20:02 PM
When you sew with these fabrics how do you hem? A rolled hem or 3 thread on serger? The 3 thread will look nice but I don't want to do that all the time. Looking for other ideas.

5  COOKING / Dessert / The easiest most delicious truffles ever on: January 21, 2008 09:05:08 AM
SOOOO easy, sooooo yummmmmy. I will post pics soon (if family doesn't eat these things first!)

Chocolate truffles

8oz cream cheese
3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
3 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla, peppermint, almond extract or coffee liquer, peppermint schnapps etc (you can use anything!!)

various coatings
coconut, powdered sugar, sprinkles, colored sugar, powder cocoa, chopped nuts again you can use anything you like.

melt chocolate chips, i usually do them in a pan inside a bigger pan with water, microwave works you just have to watch it well.
while melting put cream cheese in mixer.
add melted chocolate to cream cheese and mix well. then add powdered sugar.
you can add all of one flavoring or split into halves, quarters etc.
I usually put this in the fridge for an hour or the powdered coating will seep into chocolate.
Then roll into balls, 1 inch works but i've done monster ones for friends. Then roll into toppings.
Keep them in the fridge.
I give these as gifts and i've sold them. They are very addicting!!!
Hope you like as much as me!!!
