1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / calling for help from a fellow crafter on: March 28, 2012 08:28:20 AM
Hello everyone!! I am in need of a big favor! I am helping put togather a baby shower and the theme is monster on the way. I am making all the decorations, favors, food and everything else by hand on a very tight budget. I want to make a banner for behind the table that says "monster on the way" here is where the favor comes in. As I am doing everything else and it it taking forever I was wondering if any one with a  cricut would be willing to cut the letters for me so I dont have to do it by hand.  I tried in my area and no takers lol. after the party the banner will be taken apart and turned into a sign for the baby's nursery as a gift to the mother the nursery is going to be monsters also. If you are willing to help me out please contact me. any help would greatly apperciated by myself and the mother.
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / amazing find! on: October 17, 2011 11:07:25 PM
On my way out tonight I saw what I thought was a few big old books by the garbage house and I thought that I could make something out of them( always thinking about ways and things to make) so I stopped the car to grab them well it turns out they wernt books at all. they were containers that had a bunch of sewing machien parts in them feet, button holer and managram plates and monagramer. right next to them the sewing machien. I totally grabed them all up. Turns out it alll works and every piece is there including instructions. It is an old school sears kenmore sewing machine I cant wait to get to play with everything. I am totally stoked about the feet ! there is a ruffler foot and I have been thinking about geting one now for awhile but didnt have the extra cash. It is soo true what they say one mans trash is anothers treasure.

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / halloween time fin on: July 24, 2011 10:14:16 PM
Fin was made last year fo the mini 13 days of halloween swap( we had and adventure time themed day Grin) He is about 20 inches tall and comes with his own costume. all kinds of material were used to make him. I loved him soo vary much that I even saved the pattern that I made to one day make him again ( I never save my patterns and never make the same thing twice so its a big deal trust me!)

here he is wearing his jake mask.
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / zombie kitty on: July 24, 2011 10:08:10 PM
I made zombie kitty for my partner in the mini 13 days of halloween swap last year. ( I have been very lazy about posting my projects as you can see)

she is made out of some lime green fur like material that I bought at walmart befor they stopped selling fabric and felt. I found a kinda pattern on line and modified it.

I had a hard time giving her up I just loved her brains ahahah
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / hell kitty (PIC FAT) on: July 24, 2011 10:04:08 PM
I made hell kitty for v3nu5 in the tiny stuffie swap. She is upcycled from a stretch valure(SP) plus size jaket that I found at the thrift store. After spending hours at the fabric store and not liking anything that I found I thought it was worth a shot to try something new for me. It worked great but the fabric was a real pain in the arse to work with. her bow and wings are made out of vinyl that I had form other projects. Her eyes and nose are hand made out of sculpy. She is jointed so her arms and legs are posable, the possabilities with buttons are endless. I really love buttons!! Well enough of my banter on to HELL KITTY! Grin

8  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / my first halloween costume on: November 04, 2010 07:33:59 AM

Everything is hand made except the wings. There is atleast 15 yards of tool and glitter netting and anything eles I could throw in there lol. This dress is super huge as you can see. I got the idea off the internet somewhere just snooping along. She was super cute!!

This the costume that I made for my little girl for halloween There is like 15+ years of tool in 4 diffrent colors and shinynesses. the only thing that I didnt make is the wings they are from one of my costumes from years ago. Good thing that I didnt throw them away when I wanted to.

This came about after  a failed atempt at the chesire cat.lol She looked soooo cute.
