1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Brother hit by car - two broken ankles, 1 broken thumb on: January 25, 2009 02:39:31 PM
Hi everyone-

My brother was hit by a car last week and suffered two broken ankles, broken thumb on his right-hand (he's right-handed), much road rash and some stitches.  He is VERY, VERY lucky; he has no internal damage and no brain injury except for a concussion.

He is far away and doesn't want visitors yet.    He's tall 6'5", his wife is 5'6" and is sooooo devoted!  I've sent him a couple of toys and books, but would love to make something for both of them.

Any ideas for a person who does not crochet or knit?

Thanks everyone!
