I'd totaly forgotten about fuse beads until I saw your post.  I used to love making stuff with them when I was a kid! I think my grandparents still have my fuse bead magnets on their fridge.

I might just pick up a new set on my next trip to the craft store, for old times sake  Grin

oops.  After thinking more of what you're trying to do, my suggest won't really help you since you need an oven.  I was thinking of a different type plastic that could be melted down and pour into a mold.

You could also use a propane camp stove and do the melting in an open area outside so it doesn't stink up your house.  Plus it's healthier for you since the toxins will not be as concentrated.
