1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Printing on clothes and other textiles on: April 07, 2008 11:29:10 AM
Hi guys,  Wink

I'd really love to have t-shirts, skirts, bags, shoes etc. with my favorite artists' art printed on them. Also, for text written on them. Does anyone here knows any tutorials how to do it yourself?  Huh

If you don't know what I really mean, it's something like this:

Thanks! Cheesy

3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Picture tutorials for making bath and beauty products on: March 06, 2008 08:15:15 AM
Well, I found lots of useful links here and on some other sites for soap making, but since I'm not native English speaker and plus I'm dyslexic, I have a bit of a problem reading instructions, if you understand.
For example (stupid one, I know), somewhere it says to twist it up and I have no idea what the hell it means with soap making. I can use the dictionary but the meaning is not always the same, and I don't know how to apply it on tutorial.

I've always been visual person and pictured instructions were always a great way for learning stuff for me.

It's logical to have picture tutorials for sewing and knitting, but I didn't find much for bath & beauty products.

So if you could help me out and give me some links to picture tutorials?

Pwetty pweez?

I'm still new, so please bare with me.  Grin Kiss Tongue

TIA!

P.S. I hope you don't mind me posting exactly the same thread in other topics. (for jewelry, glass arts etc.) it would be awesome to find picture tutorials for all crafts!! Cheesy Also, I wish there could be a sticky in each category with listed tutorials... Undecided
4  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Craftster promo buttons anyone? on: February 24, 2008 01:11:11 PM
I was just adding some promo buttons to my Livejournal userinfo and wanted to add Craftster but realized I didn't see any. I used Search to try and find but didn't find it.
So I made some.  Grin These are made from Craftster Swag page, I hope it's alright?  Huh I'm not breaking any rules or copyright?  Shocked
They are simple but look ok.  Wink I'm sorry if some are a bit wonky, I'm not an expert (yet)  Tongue

Just right click, Save Picture As on your computer,. upload them to your hosting site (Photobucket for example) and then make a link out of it like this:

<a href="http://www.craftster.org/"><img src="here goes link from photobucket"></a>

Well, that's it.  Cheesy

5  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hi from Croatia! :) on: February 05, 2008 07:48:07 AM
Hello everybody!

I registered on January 20, but remembered to introduce myself just now.  Undecided

I'm a student, 21 yrs old, from Split, Croatia.

Anyway, I Stumbled on this forum and how thrilled I was!! So many ideas, creative people, colors...I just enjoy watching all the photos.  Cheesy

Since I was a kid I liked to sew clothes for my dolls, to make my jewellery, make stuff out of clay...art was my favorite subject in school.  Grin
But during the years (awful period of puberty and high school  Roll Eyes) I lost the touch with crafts and my creativity.

So recently I became interested in making things again. My mother promised to show me how to sew and knit (it has to be her  -she's the only lefty I know that knows to knit Cheesy), I found tutorials for making soap and jewellery and some other stuff...

I feel very excited!! Like playing with your long time wanted toy! Cheesy Discovering something inside me!!
I'd like to knit, sew, woodwork, pottery, jewellery, accessories...so many things. Cheesy

Well, I'm starting from the scratch, and must get all the tools needed, so I guess I'll keep watching other for some time (hopefully I'll start soon).

Also, inventing stuff when you're in need and improvising is one of the things I'm good at. LOL

Crafts are so interesting, fulfilling, and enjoyful, I think. Give some kind of freedom. I love creativity. Playing with things.  Cheesy

And if you have any helpful advices and links, just throw them this way!  Wink

Glad to find this place!

Hello to everyone!
