Today I just felt like sewing... So I made lots of stuff...

1st thing was a pair of pants for my son... Half denim & half pirate-cotton fabric... The bum bit is a bit too small for his big bum Cheesy...

2nd thing: I reconstructed a XL shirt & a curtain into a cute shirt!

3rd thing was a nightie converted into a pair of PJ pants for my friends daughter

4  Lolita skirt & questions in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by akuma2636 on: March 21, 2010 10:12:08 PM
Question first: What do you guys think would be better for a Lolita skirt & dress, elastic or zippers or buttons or snap clips? Because I have no idea... I've never really used buttons or zippers before, only really elastic... But I'm interested to know, since one of my friends now asked me to make her an Alice in Wonderland dress ^_^... And I don't know how to go about it... What do usual skirts have? Also another friend asked me to make her one in black with red or purple lace ^_^

Also I was thinking about making a mini-skirt version of this skirt, what do you think? ^_^

This is also my first real piece of clothing from scratch, what do you guys think? ^_^

Made using measurements from this tutorial

Orange Slice Earrings

Made from clay, and earring backings... I wanna make tiny tiny Kanzashi for more earrings Cheesy

White Kiku Kanzashi

Panda Prototype Hat

Then my friends bugged me to make it eyes Smiley

Moogle Hat

Made out of PAIN and love... Took me forever to work this one out @_@

Ninja Balaclava

6  Kimono shirt & Pirate pants in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by akuma2636 on: March 14, 2010 05:55:08 PM
So I've been trying to find tutorials everywhere because I'm useless with patterns and still consider myself a beginner at sewing Cheesy...

BUT, I'm due to have my first child on the 8th of August and last Tuesday I found out that I'm having a beautiful baby boy <3... As you can probably understand, I'M SUPER EXCITED

So I want to make him some lovely things Cheesy... He's also going to be very spoilt... He's the first grandchild for my mother and my fiance's mother, and the first male great grandchild for my Nan & Pop Cheesy... So very very spoilt Cheesy...

But here's what I've made him this weekend ^_^...

Kimono wrap top, using Habitual's pattern (which is amazing)

I made the kimono wrap shirt from some silky ribbon I had in my stash and some old pillow cases @_@...

Pirate pants, made from pirate fabric that I bought last April (on special) and some elastic I had in my stash

For a beginner I would say not bad Tongue... I look forward to posting more stuff Cheesy

7  The Honi Apron in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by akuma2636 on: December 10, 2009 12:15:50 AM
Here's the apron I made for Honi for Christmas
It's reversable (sp?), there are two pockets on both sides, the middle doubles as a really large pocket, so she can use it as a bag.
I stitched "H" on there so Mia wouldn't use it (I did the same to Mia's skirt Cheesy)

It's made out of scrap fabric that I had left over. The blue rose fabric was from some old curtains, the white fabric was from my Sailor Mercury costume, and the dark blue material was from the Dragon Ball costume I made my friend Cheesy

8  The Mia Skirt in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by akuma2636 on: December 09, 2009 10:20:16 PM
I showed my fiance's little sister my Sailor Mercury outfit and I was like "do you like it?"
She goes "Oh! I love it!"
So I decided to make her a skirt based off my Sailor Mercury skirt design Cheesy

Pretty good for a 2nd REAL skirt Tongue

What do you guys think?

I was thinking about making her older sister a pretty skirt too, but I ran out of blue material... Maybe I'll make her one from scraps in my fabric box, and embroider it with a H for Honi ^_^

Also, I need ideas, I just found out I'm pregnant, and I was to craft a lot for it ^_^, what kind of things should I make? I'm still quite a beginner in the sewing department, and I'm quite poor. So what do you guys think? Any simple ideas?

10  Useful ideas for things I just can't throw away!!! in What the heck can I do with THIS? by akuma2636 on: October 13, 2009 08:05:33 PM
1. I've read the bottles thread, and searched for things online, but I can't find anything that really catches my interest.
All the ideas for plastic bottles aren't my kind of thing, the best thing I've found is cutting off the bottoms of the bottles which makes it look like a flower kind of thing, which I'm intending to decorate my garden with.
BUT, most of the bottles I have are green tea bottles, so they have a different sort of bottom, so I can't use them for that so I need... Some useful ideas ^___^ (By useful I mean something that I can use around the house or something)

2. Seashells, I LOVE walking along the beach collecting shells, they're just so beautiful. But I can't find much to do with them... I was thinking about selling some of my collection online, but I don't know about customs and stuff... Then again at the same time I don't really wanna get rid of things...

3. Medical supplies! My fiance is a nurse, so he brings things home in his pockets that I'l love to use for crafty things!!

4. A box of floppy disks that my fiance got free from his scholarship, I wanted to make a scrapbook cover out of them because they're awesome Cheesy, but I have a bunch leftover, what to do? What to do?

Thanks for reading! I hope to find some awesome ideas!
