1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Corset like question on: May 27, 2008 06:48:50 PM
Heyo Allz....

I have this niffty wedding dress pattern that I want to just use the the bodice part now and make it more like a corset.

It doesn't call for any boning now, but would it be easy to add it? Like if I made the pockets for the boning like I would for a corset, would it work? I was assuming so, but I'd rather ask someone first before I went a ruined the fabric.

Thankies! Smiley
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / My sewing machine JUST died...need new one...Help Please! on: February 06, 2008 04:35:26 PM
Okay so I my sewing has decided to go decide to hate me once again....it does this a lot...

So I am fed up and want a new one, but I got that one as a gift and do not know the first thing about shopping for a sewing machine...

I am intermediate sewer and I want a good, heavy duty machine ASAP because I have a costuming class starting March 1st   Undecided

So if anyone can give me suggestions of an awesome machine that wont die when I am sewing heavy fabrics and vinyl leather or what to look for in a good machine

I can spend up to $400-$500 if that will get me something that wont die when I am hemming jeans...

Thanks!
