What a great little case!  I love when bags are designed specifically to meet the needs of the user or contents!  I just finished a bag using the same fabric you used on the outside of the bag, I love it!  You could really get some money for those suckers, but I'm sure they take a lot of time!

This tutorial has pictures still intact and I think uses the method you're looking for.  Sorry for the messy link.

PaigePower,
I just saw that fabric at the Joann's near me.  It was in the novelty fabrics next to the Halloween stuff.  I know you said you checked there but maybe you just missed it or that particular store didnt have any.

Does anyone care to share their method for covering nylon strapping with fabric?  I can't figure out the  best way to avoid bulky seams.

I love your bags!  I would also really appreciate a tutorial on the wallet keychains!

How cute is that!  Did you follow a tutorial or pattern?  I'd love to make one of these!
237  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Preshrink interfacing? on: January 21, 2008 03:39:04 PM
I'm using a craft weight sew-in interfacing for a diaper bag I'm making and was wondering if I should pre-shrink it so my bag doesn't warp when washed?  I've pre-shrunk all the fabric for the bag and just got to thinking about the interfacing.  Also, is it best to attach my interfacing to the outside bag material, or the lining, or both?  Thanks!

238  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Zippered Gusset on: January 20, 2008 12:35:02 PM
Hi everyone, I'm new to craftster and this is my first post!  Anyhow, I'm going to attempt a messenger bag and want to add a zippered gusset to the top for closure under the flap.  The tutorial in the ultimate list isn't working for me.  Is it just me or does it not work for anyone right now?  If it's really not working, does anyone have a link to a different tutorial to show me how to do a zippered gusset?  I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to make the zippered panel itself, but when it comes to attaching it to the bag so that it can be flipped through the hole and all that, I'm not sure?  THanks!
