25  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Harry Potter Forever? on: July 07, 2008 06:55:28 PM
I'll be going on vacation for a week in Aug. but other than that the times are okay. It's a little tight on crafting time but it's not a huge swap, so it's fine.
Those sizes sound good, too.
I'm definatly in on this if the times work out for me.

but as far as a pattern goes, i don't have one. i just freehanded him. he's just five tubes though. shouldn't be too terribly hard to figure out.

I'll have to examine your crocheted version as well as the book closely. He's oober cute.
Great job, again.

30  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Marie Antionette Prom Dress on: July 07, 2008 12:05:13 PM
to be honest, and i know it's harsh, i don't think that is a marie antoinette dress, i think it's more renaissance or something in an older style than of marie antoinette. but i still think it's a great job, i wore something similar to this dress for my formal, and i was really nervous about it cause it was over the top, but i went ahead with it and i got best dressed. i hope you had a similar response.

It's not harsh, I know it really doesn't look Marie-ish. That was just the story to go along with the first bit. lol. Marie was the inside joke part. The dress is no way authentic.

And lol, I got a lot of 'homigawd didjya make that dressss?Huh' comments from people. It was fun.
