11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Oilcloth apron for hairdresser. (photo plump) on: May 11, 2008 07:38:59 PM
My hairdresser asked me to make her a cute apron for work since she doesn't like the plain black ones she has so here's what I came up with.  I have never worked with oilcloth before nor have I ever madey own bias tape also out of oil cloth.  The heart is just appliqued on because I thought it needed a little something else but she asked for NO pockets.

12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / My first attempts at resin ~~PIC Ginormous on: May 11, 2008 07:32:44 PM
Ok, so the resin bug has bitten me.  I keep seeing all these great resin items so i had to try it for my self and this is what I got.  They are ok but I definitly want to try it some more so that I can improve.

And I'm especially proud of this one, the colors turned out cool.
13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Courdoroy (sp?) goodness on: May 04, 2008 10:21:36 AM
So, I made a purse for my neighor because she didn't like the one she had (it was too small) so we traded.  I didn't have a pattern and I have never made a purse before so I just winged it.  It has a hard bottom cut from a piece of particle like board.  Two layers of interfacing do it stands up really well and interchangable straps.  One for just wearing it on the shoulders and one for across the body like a messenger.  I didnt get to take any photos of the interior because I forgot to before I gave it to her and she started using it.  The inside has several pockets including one that holds several diapers and one that holds a bottle (adult or baby) with elastic (She has 5 kids!).  Closes with a megnetic strap.  I still think I won out on our trade as I got a REAL Louis Vuitton.

14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Sweet as a Jelly Roll (Two photos) on: April 29, 2008 07:26:17 AM
So I saw a similar apron pattern by Vanilla House and though "hey, I can do that"  So here is my own apron made out of Jelly Rolls.  I have never quilted before (I normally just sew clothing) so this was a little different for me but it was fairly easy.  Let me know what you think.

15  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / soft funky scarf on: February 19, 2008 05:48:19 PM
I used shibori techniques but instead of dying the fabric, i steamed it to just set the "bubbles" in it.

18  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / A few eye masks left over from Valentine gifts on: February 17, 2008 01:31:08 PM
I made eye masks for friends for Valentine's day and these were the ones left over.  They're not as wonky in person as the look in the photo (well maybe a little - but I'm just getting back into sewing)  I made the pattern myself but I was inspired by a few other eye masks I've seen here on craftster.  The pink one is made from some cool flannel I had laying (lying? - I'm always confused on which one to use) around and the others are raw silk from some fat quarters I had.  Hope you likes.
19  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Look! I made some felt hair pins on: February 17, 2008 01:25:14 PM

So, this is my first craft that I have completed and posted here but I've been lurking for a while.  I made some felt hair things this morning.  I'm addicted to working with felt.   I may just keep them for myself.   Grin  Let me know what you think?
20  Washington / Washington: Peninsula / Attn. Crafty peeps in the downtown Bremerton area on: February 06, 2008 08:05:23 AM
I would like to meet up with crafty people in the S. Kitsap area mainly around downtown Bremerton. I don't know where yet, but if people are interested we can figure something out.  I know I could just go to Seattle, but I'd like to avoid the boat ride.  Beside, who wants to lug their supplies that far?
