Aww.  I like them.  Fishey love is so cute.  I like the emboidery with the yarn too.  More space is covered w/ less time involved.

Have you tried using an embossing buddy with the powder?  It's basically a fabric pouch filled with some sort of white-ish/ clear powder that has anti-static powers.  You just rub it across the paper and then stamp with your ink and then add the embossing powder like you normally would.  I know you can order one from Stampin Up but I've also seen similar things at Michaels and Joanns neer the embossing powders.

I would like to meet up with crafty people in the S. Kitsap area (mainly around Bremerton).  I know I could just go to Seattle, but I'd like to avoid the boat ride.  Beside, who wants to lug their supplies that far?
