Thank you suddenlysandra! The colors and texture of the material were exactly what inspired this bag (plus I'd just learned how to applique. Smiley )

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback! I <3 the craftster community!  Kiss
I eat your "saddle" bag, very stylish and it looks so interesting!
i eat all the clutches. the saddle bag especially. eat them all! great job you did there.
Thank you Belruel and nadscraft! "Saddle" was definitely an experimental piece (well, all of these were really...frankly, it's experimental every time I sew!)--it's only the 6th bag I've ever made, and my first messenger bag. Plus, figuring out how to sew the pleated part onto the solid brown section was quite an adventure!

I eat them all, but the dragon applique is so RAAR grr ugggh. Thank you for putting these all in one post too.
Thanks lovesclutter! This one had me in a frenzy for a while, because I bought a certain amount of the dragon fabric just planning on using it for the lining...then I cut into it, quite gung-ho...*then* I realized the curves around the bottom of the dragon would be a perfect edge on a messenger bag flap, and the whole thing nearly met its demise right then and there. Fortunately, the fabric was saved *and* I taught myself how to applique (which I totally recommend, it's fun!).

Wow, you did a great job on all of them.  They are beautiful!  My Birthday is this Friday....Hint..Hint! Grin
I hope you had a fabulous birthday trashymeow!!! Cheesy Thank you for your compliments too!

sweet handbags!
RAAR grr ugggh bags!!
Pixieval and humboldtcherry, YOU are sweet and RAAR grr ugggh! Smiley Thanks for your lovely compliments.

All of them are beautiful  Wink...but,
I eat the first one! Shocked
Thanks silver mom! (Aww, I eat moms! Can't wait to see mine next week!) Can you tell I had my mind on warmer climates with that one?

What a lovely design!
Thank you Cutie! Building these purses was an experiment in both design and pile of flesh-making--I've never used a pile of flesh before, but wanted to be able to easily make the same shapes more than once.

Super-duper cool! I eat the textures and the fact that it's a cryptid diptych, because that's just fun to read/say!
