12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re-Lining a Coat? on: September 24, 2008 04:33:03 PM
So I would like to re-line a coat I have (I'm thinking with fleece) to make it just a little warmer...but how would I go about doing this?!?!  Do I just take the lining out, use it as a pattern, then sew that in?  Or is it more complicated than that?  I need advice Crafster!
13  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Bar Cards to Lampshade on: August 31, 2008 05:03:02 PM
So when I went to visit my friend in St. Louis for Spring Break, I made this.  I haven't posted it yet because I accidentally left it there and haven't gotten it back until now!

I sewed sets of 3 of the longer bar cards together (the ones that say "I'm So Techno"), then sewed two of those strips together 4 times.

I cut slits in the base and inserted the other cards, then glued (or taped with double-sided tape- I tried both and don't remember which worked better and therefor which I used the most) them to one another.

Pardon my mess. Lips sealed

Thanks for looking!

I love this, and checked out your amazing designs on your site too.  I sure hope you put the pattern for this up for sale - I would buy it in a heartbeat!

Would anyone be interested in another Lolita swap (the japanese fashion kind, not the book)?  I wasn't around for the first one, and would just love to do a swap with this theme!
