heathereff: I got the spanish card on the front from a Mexican Bingo set. I'm sure you could easily find them on the internet! It is the Don Clemente Juego de Loteria.

Hey everyone. This is a sketchbook that I finished recently; it measures about 4.5" x 4.75" and it's full of found paper. I love using the woven exposed spine binding!

These are cute - what did you carve them from and how large are they? These would also look good in different color inks on different color backgrounds, I think!

This is sweet! Did you spray paint the white lace on? I've been experimenting with stenciling myself. I love how parts of it are sharply detailed and then other parts are fuzzy depending on how close the stencil is to the paper.

I'm not a big fan of inhaling all the paint fumes, though.

Hooray, typography! Is that craft paper you used for the cover? I like the use of the label-maker - the addition of color is really nice. Also, I love that you put info on the spine. It's a nice detail that I often overlook when making my own books. Great job!

First, I have to say - I like Alex's new look...small and fluffy suits him.

Great illustrations, too. It'd be neat if you could put all of your drawings and doodles into a book/magazine. It's something I've been meaning to do with my own but I'm too lazy to scan them all in and then lay them out and print and bind the pages. But, depending on how many drawings you have, you could even make little themed editions of your sketchbook drawings. I'd totally buy one.

Thanks for the kind comments! I think my next attempt will indeed be a shadowbox with multiple layers. I have this vague idea that I want to make some kind of marionette and theater...so we shall see how that "plays" out.

Oh, as for the cutting job - I think I went through at least 10 exacto blades...does anyone know where one could purchase them in bulk?

Agh, so cute! I really like the style, it's quite unique. Have you done any larger work? I bet you'd be really good at it!

Helo frends. Here are some examples of what I've been up to lately. These are collages I've made from cutting up paper with an exacto knife. There's about a 1-2 inch accumulation of paper shreds covering my work area as a result.

They're pretty simple but I really like that aesthetic for some reason. I also like bird cages, couldyoutell? Suggestions on possible subjects for future compositions are encouraged! I want to do some of those layered 3-d paper art scenes, too, that go in shadow boxes. Oh the possibilities!

I've been to Scotland once. I wish I had a scrapbook as rich as this to remember my brief time there! How long were you there, if you don't mind me asking?
