11  Re: Keep Me Warm Swap Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by murbeck on: February 23, 2011 06:18:35 AM
Well, DC says that Minxalee received my package a week and a half ago, I hope she liked it all and that she's ok since we haven't heard from her.  I am going to go ahead and post pictures of what I sent.  I hope that she'll still post her own, because it's always nice to see your work being used by the recipient or at least in their home...

First off the wearable-
It's a slouchy hat.  A VERY slouchy hat.  The colors remind me of disney's chesire cat, which was unintentional but I think rather cute  Smiley

The drink wearable, a crocheted coffee cuff

and the coffee, I forgot to snap a picture of, so this is from the net.  It's Chocolate Coffee from Cracker Barrel

I'm so glad you like the colors!!!  Smiley

I received some BEAUTIFUL, framed watercolor renderings of my husband & I and our dogs, from Jennilocker.  We truly love them!!!

Top one is of my husband (that one is coming to work with me), bottom left is my husband and me and the bottom right is of both my dogs  Smiley  Aren't they great?!  Thank you so much, Jennilocker!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, that tea box & the orange cowl are amazing!!!!

I received some amazingness too, from Minxalee!  Such spoilage!!!!

First, a wearable- a really great slouchy hat!

second, another wearable!  SUPER SOFT slippers.  I wore these all evening last night, the buttons are so me. (and fear not Minxalee, the fit is PERFECT as is!)

next up, my drink accessory.  I love the buttons used here too, and it's entirely adjustable.

and finally the coffee.  It actually came in a resealable bag!  I made some this morning, and OMG.  Best coffee I have EVER had!  She also sent a couple really great smelling lip glosses!

Thank you sooooooo much!  I hope you are as happy with my package to you as I am with mine!

oh, another lovely shawl!!!

MissBarbara, where did you get that tag, it's so nice!!!

Ok, I got my awesomeness from Alphabrett.  I LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUV IT!!!!!

Some really cute crocheted yarn art (on wood) and a knit-print card

crochet viney scarf/necklace & crochet-chains-necklace

and this LOVELY cowl.  I can't tell you how beautiful the colors are in this.  And it's so soft and luxurious feeling.

here's a horrid action shot (I had just gotten home from a 12 hour day at work) including the hat that I forgot to snap a good pic of because I was too busy skipping around the house with it on my head singing "I got another Hippie-hat!"  (I love slouchy hats, and my husband calls them all hippie hats, so I run with it  Cheesy)

and one of the viney scarf

I love everything, thank you sooooooooooooooooooo much Alphabrett!!!!

okey dokey, I know that Beeker is super busy as a teacher and her internet at home is slow so I'm going to post pictures of SOME of the remaining gifts I sent her.  I do hope that she'll find the time to post her own of everything because I didn't snap pics of 4 of the remaining gifts (forgot) and plus it's always fun to see your things in others' photos  Smiley

I also can't remember the order in which I labeled them, lol...

Embroidering starter kit --> boxy, lined zipper pouch filled with floss + books

Clothespin bag, insert hanger in neck hole and ties tie around the neck of the hanger

knitted pixie hat

and the Christmas day large gift, fingerless gloves:

The other large item was a lots-of-pockets bag (keyka lou pattern).
another day was a set of crocheted penguin coasters

I cannot for the life of me remember what the last couple items were (outside of what she's already posted)!!!  It's killing me trying to remember!!!!

Made this for my nephew, before he was born.  I could never imagine he would be SO darn cute in it!   Cheesy

I waited for what seemed like forever for this pattern to be available for purchase, I've never stalked a pattern before like that.  It's Bugga Baby Bunting from Spud & Chloe.

here it is before the baby arrived

I was assigned a wonderful angel:  Laural sent me a beautiful crocheted snowflake garland which I hung with my ribbon and holly across the beam that separates the living room from kitchen and also a cute little crocheted white Christmas tree with a gold star on top.

Thank you Laural!  And, Merry Christmas!  Wink

19  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Round 6!!!! in The Swap Gallery by murbeck on: November 27, 2010 07:21:15 PM
ok, here's my goods from TSM...

my AMAZING stocking!!!!  Love this so much.  It's now hanging in a very prominent wall in the living room.

a mass picture of everything minus the stocking.

there's a pair of pajama pants, that fit just right, underneath everything.  Fall themed  Grin
on the left there's:
a birdy embroidery
pretty key chain
an adorable Hallmark ornament where different critters peak out of holes in the tree when you spent it on the hanger
key fob
journal with different sized scrapbooking pens (these will SO get used)
Pear pouch with pear zipper-pull, inside was a pear wallet (I so heart this fabric)
a handful of different fabrics.  I'm going to use them as bandanas, I especially love the tie-dye one
on the right:
a pie candle
lots of yummies for me and dh & the pups too!
grinch socks, I love the ankle height on them!!!
a really pretty mug stuffed with butterfinger cocoa & a carmel mix
D-rings
green tinsel pom pom pony tails, I have declared I will be wearing these for the remainder of the year  Grin
ribbon pack
a mini slinky, which DH stole as I was still unloading everything from the wrapping paper!

not pictured because I was wearing them:

beautiful earrings

my second fave thing in the package (first fave being the stocking), a duster necklace!

here's a few more close shots of the whole lot

Thank you TheSapphireMoon!!!!  You were such an awesome partner!

everything unloaded under the tree:

the paper bags, chinese takeout box, large round wrapped "thing" (hmmm, wonder what BEEKER could have sent that's large and round...  Grin) to the right and the large envelope are alllll from Beeker!!!  Grin

extras:

these amazing snowflakes!!!  Next year I want to have them hanging from the ceiling somewhere.  In order from left to right "GREG" (DH), "MARIE" (Me), "BECK" (last name), "PIXIE" (First dog), "REMINGTON" (2nd dog)... that last one had to be a challenge!!!  They are so cool!  I can't believe THESE were an extra!

And then more goodies that were in the huggies box...
french vanilla snowman marshmellows (YUM), candy canes that got broken, but that's not deterring me!  Cheesy  a snowflake headband, lol, cute

and a bag of candy cane kisses.  I've heard lots about these and they live up, OMG.  They are already in my snowman cookie jar where they won't taunt me to eat them all at once, haha

I literally woke up and opened these in my pajamas and bed head!!!  lol

On the 11th day of Christmas, Beeker gave to me

a paisley Chinese take out box full of origami stars!

I'm not sure she could have known this but I have been trying to make a bunch of these in order to string then up eventually.  But, I never got far.  I have a small jar of what I've made, these give me a huge jump on that game plus motivation to do more  Smiley  Thank you!  I love the pattern choices too.  How clever to put the origami gift inside origami packaging too, lol.

and 2 felted hearts (they are so soft!)

On the 10th day of Christmas, Beeker gave to me

A snowman ornament & Dove bar... mmmmm (why don't we have a drooly face?!)

On the 9th day of Christmas, Beeker gave to me

WOOPS!  Beeker warned me to keep my eyes peeled for more than 1 bag for any given day and I failed her!  there's was another bag for day 2 (11), see above for my other half of that day  Cheesy

Day 9 is:
a triangle zipper bag on a keychain!  I think this might be perfect to keep in the car with change for tolls and whatnot.

On the 8th day of Christmas, Beeker gave to me

Grinch socks (LOVE) and a bath muffin, lol.  Can't wait to use this!

On the 7th day of Christmas, Beeker gave to me

a clay pin with a dragon imprint.  Took me a second to figure out what it was (I pulled it out of the bag upside down) but once i did I was like "ooooh!  cool!"  Cheesy

On the 6th day of Christmas, Beeker gave to me

a hand carved Snowman stamp!

On the 5th day of Christmas, Beeker gave to me

a handcarved Christmas Frog stamp.  I'm gonna have to hide this from my sister when she's here for Christmas  Cheesy

On the 4th day of Christmas, Beeker gave to me

2 sweet little felt santas (love this folksy style!)

and another felted heart, but this time with a star in the middle

On the 3rd day of Christmas, Beeker gave to me

a felted penguin (shown chillin with my penguin bowl/mug) & stone bracelet

On the 2nd day of Christmas, Beeker gave to me

pretty felted art of a tree and moon

On the 1st day of Christmas, Beeker gave to me

My gourd!  The top lifts off so it's a nice container.  The back has a red celtic knot and inside were the 2 mini gourds Smiley  Love!

Thank you Beeker, I hope you had a very Merry Christmas, I know I did Wink
