2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Recon Red Halter (with cherry blossom stencils) on: April 07, 2008 06:35:36 PM
I totally pulled an all nighter to make this my bf is coming into town this weekend and I HAD to have something totally cute. This is my first Recon and my first stenciling project; so please be kind!

The Fabric is a red cotton/ polyester blend that was the lining of a skirt I don;t wear anymore.
The Paint is acrylic mixed with a textile medium & I made the stencil in PSP using a few elements I found online.

Not a lot of the pictures show the whole front and I apologize for this I wasn't even gonna post it until a friend told me to. So Here goes!

(i hate this picture but its the best one of the front)

(my action shot, my adorable niece liberty)

So I can say that this shirt made it through an 18 month old lol. Commmetns are very much appreciated! And thanks for looking!

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Care Bears Nursery on: February 03, 2008 12:58:29 PM
Well I just found out a week ago that I'm pregnant. I'm like 6 weeks along now. And there are some not so happy circumstances surrounding it so I'm trying to through myself into the happy aspects of it. like my nursery I want to do care bears but everything is just so pink and frilly and thats not really me. So ne ideas on things I could make for a care bears nursery? ne suggestions are appriciated.

Some ideas I already have in mind:

A Rainbow mural with the clouds and stars and some of the carebears

Make a Care Bear named after my baby special color & symbol
I'm naming her Jayden Rebecca ; Jayde for short so i'm thinking lighter green with a jewel on it

(my family does a pencil test dunno if you know what that is or not but it's predicted over 50 births in my family correctly so i'm like 100% sure its a girl)

thanks to all!
